Monarch Butterfly Lithophane Night Light
Amazing and creative Josh! You always knock it out of the park man! Your family is blessed to have you and your creativity. Have a Merry Christmas man!
Thank you kindly!! It was a super fun project! 😃 Merry Christmas!
What is the New project
I'm printing a Chainsaw Man helmet. Frankly Built has a great build video for it.
I only asked because I don't know how to do it and I don't want to mess up
The best advice I can give anybody is to watch Chris Bosh Props' tutorial videos. Three years ago I didn't know anything about building a Robo suit, but after watching his channel I gained the confidence to give it a shot and I'm happy I did!
Thanks
Can I pay you for a robocop under suit gloves and head wear with the neck piece because it would be great if you could do that for me I can start in April I would do it myself but I don't have certain 3D printed armor pieces yet for me to do it
Thanks for your interest! Unfortunately, I'm not prepared to take on any Robo commission work. The pieces are very time consuming and I'm currently working on another fun cosplay project.
I just realized I remember you physically because I saw that Tony Stark mustache and gotee and that is when I remembered you from the comic con I said to you that you look exactly like Tony Stark from the comics
Do you remember me now
I think I missed that one! Wish I'd been!
Josh, you did an amazing job on these. They are awesome and so are you! Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
So glad you like them! I had a blast making them!
How much would it cost to have you make the rubber under suit, gloves, neck piece, and head sock with chin guard for Robocop in my measurements
Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately, I'm not prepared to make additional pieces of the suit for sale. I've moved on to other fun and exciting projects!
Amazing you have the crafting bug see I told you everyone has a little crafting in them.
You're so right about that! 😂
Amazing Josh! Love the sound effects. You got it down and walk much better then me.
Thanks buddy! Having worn a Robo suit a couple times now, I really appreciate the work Peter put into making his performance one of a kind! It's not easy!
crazy impressive
Thank you!
This is quite sad.
Don't stop I loved it
Glad you like it!
Nice work!
Thank you!
awesome
Thanks!
The details are so sharp! it looks light also, great job!
Thanks! It feels fairly light at first, but 3 hours later it feels like a hundred pounds!
perfect!
Thanks!
Making the glove & body molds and casting is INSANE!! Great work!
Right?!? A huge chunk of the work goes into making the soft parts, but without them, the suit is basically unwearable! Thanks for the comment!
Great job on the suit I wanted to know if you could help me with some parts of my robocop suit for 1 my thigh armor rand l are not sized properly and wasn't made as it supposed to be and bicepts are the same issue I tried extending it a little bit wider but that failed and the shin pieces were too big the shoe covers the same issue I was wondering if you could help me and allow me to pay monthly to you
Thank you! Sounds like you're having trouble with the scaling? There are some great tutorials on RUclips which will help with that. Also, I highly recommend watching all the Robo tutorials on Chris Bosh Props' channel because he covers the entire build in great detail (I wouldn't have been brave enough to tackle this challenge if it weren't for his videos). I used 3D Builder for most of my basic mods, Fusion 360 for a few of the more complex mods, and you can also scale your pieces within Cura and other slicers too.
Well done
Thank you!
@russoj277 welcome
Wow impressive most impressive great work
Thank you!
You even shaved! Respect
The sacrifices we make for our craft!
This is cool!!! I'd love another video on that auto 9 too?
Thank you so much!
素晴らしい造形美術。
I love it !
Thanks!
Perfect! And you fit it like Weller, looks like the real deal. I bet those prints were nerve racking with all the time it takes to print them.
Thanks! And you're right... they were some very long prints! I should add up all the hours some time.
OH COME ON! This is incredible!
Thanks! Your enthusiasm helps make it all worthwhile!
Nice shooting son what’s your name ?
😁
😅
Do you think you can make those gloves for me for my suit ? If not it’s ok
To be honest, I worked on this project off and on for about 2 years, and there's just one part of the build that was the most frustrating pull-my-hair-out why-do-the-cosplay-gods-hate-me pieces... the gloves! I tried and tried and could never duplicate Chris Bosh Props' results. I blew threw so much Smooth-On material and finally just ended up casting each finger separately from the palm. It works, but I have to paint my fingers black otherwise you can see my skin between the gaps in the rubber fingers. Super annoying.
@@russoj277wow but thx anyway
Absolutely awesome work
Thanks!
PAZZESCO 🎉❤
😁
Amazing work mate, very skilled
Thank you!
that is an amazing costume, great work.
Thanks!
I want a suit like that.
Ever thought about making one? Either 3D printed, or EVA foam?
Wow, Amazing. Must have been hundreds of hours.
Thanks! I try not to think about how many hours this project took!
@ 😂
Damn you not only made this video but is SELLING THE STL FILES DIRT CHEAP. Thank you!
Right!?! Way cheaper than back when I purchased them!
"Man only want one thing and it's disgusting" Me walking to work everyday in my robocop suit...
🤣
That suit is so freaking dope, I’m getting high off of this video!
If there was a real robbery at the end in one of those shops. The look on the robbers faces if Robo walks in. 🤣
That would have been epic!
The walking seems so rigid, could you not move your legs much?
I hoped you wouldn't notice that! Haha. Those clips were taken after about 3 hours in the suit, the majority of which I spent in a huge line waiting for the judges booth. Robo suits are notoriously uncomfortable and I was exhausted by that point. My "Robo walk" is better with a fresh set of legs, but nobody will ever compare to the great Peter Weller! Plus the sound FXs really enhance his epic performance.
@@russoj277 Ah i get ya, my comment wasn't a dis by the way. Just after seeing you make the parts from rubber, it seemed odd the walk appeared a little stiff. Having worn Stormtrooper armour myself which is rigid plastic, i was trying to understand how that seemed more restrictive in the clip. I didn't take into account the possible length of time it had been worn already in that clip. Fair play on the dedication to making whole suit by the way.
Thanks! Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I've never worn a storm trooper costume but always wondered how it would be.
@@russoj277 Certain not made for stairs lol
True story!
Wow, all that work and you couldn't get the color right.
I share the same frustration. The silver base is pretty much the same as Chris' but I ran out of time before Deadweird so I had to cut two major corners during the final week of the build: 1) I didn't spend nearly enough time sanding the suit with fine grit sandpaper, and 2) I attempted a color shift pearl in the clear coat (blue-to-purple) applied via HVLP spray gun rather than airbrushing the blues and purples by hand like Chris did. Although there is some color shift (it's kinda neat in the right lighting conditions), it's nowhere near the intensity I hoped for and basically disappeared under the dim lights at the event. I literally finished the suit the morning of the event, so I was stuck with what I had. I may circle back someday and rework the color to resemble Robo 1 or 2 (tbd). If I can get close to the look of Chris' suit, I'd be thrilled.
All the electronics in that gun and all we get is a little wrist flick? :(
Right?!? The event was so loud, nobody could even here the stomping sounds, servo FX, and movie quotes I had playing. If I could go back, I'd probably skip the electronics altogether. Wasn't worth it for the amount of effort I put in.
Robocop didn't have a moustache.. not realistic.. but wow..
True story! Thanks for the comment.
Have you ever thought about selling copies of soft parts Josh?
I wish I had a better answer for you. Last year I sold a couple torsos and neck pieces to use up the remaining Smooth-On materials before they expired. I found that with the amount of labor involved in the process, plus the shipping inconvenience associated with a piece the size of a 1-part torso, it's hard to find a price point that makes it worth doing.
WOW! love it!
Thank you!
I wish had more shorts of the final product. So good
Much appreciated!
Nice!
Thanks!
I thought he was just gonna wear the hard plastic 3d printed suit but then I saw him making the rubber molds. Truly incredible! All that effort definitely paid off
Thank you! Nobody will ever say these suits are "comfortable", but using a rubber torso and neck piece is a game changer when it comes to wearability!
@russoj277 yeah I bet
@@Kids_Scissors I wish you would take commissions for them because those of us who would pay you would make your videos better that way tell me I'm wrong
Adult me says this looks very complicated and I wouldn't even try something like this, the kid me says this looks like it was so much fun to make and I want one to wear around the house.
It was certainly a labor of love, with a few moments of frustration and anxiety. Overall a super fun experience!
Cool Robo suit brother!
Thank you!
I'm impressed with your work
Much appreciated. It was no small task!
Wow, really amazing 👏
Thank you!
I’m going to ask you a question. What are your prime directives?
😁
