Even for the standards of the time most of this ready to wear line was unflattering, the final ones looked fairly decent, the swimsuits were very lovely. Recall my mom had a few of the "arabesque" trousers.I did love all that was going on with the models, the way they presented the clothes and wow, forgot how gorgeous male models were, now at days they don't even look like actual men and they are so so skinny they seem malnourished. Pity it was cut so sudden, wanted to watch til the end. It's amazing to see how much this artist grew with the years and how much it changed until creating his iconic signature. Today it seems a bit tacky but there are some great pieces that still feels glamorous and sensual.

Thank You House Music! Started with Synth...New Order being the first to use synth sounds on a keyboard long before DJ's in a club. Gianni loved House Music and perfected His Fashion Shows with it. It inspired Him. And Versace has it's reputation because of this beautiful Music that came after this era. Not 10 years later, He had every model and track He could need to do the work that He did- Stunning. The 👑 Fashion King. Yes, Coco Chanel being the 👑 Queen. And everything that's come after, even Armani, have borrowed from the King and Queen. Style seems to cycle back every 30 years. Gianni Versace gave Us perfection for Women's Style-> Hair and Make-up was perfect at His Shows, especially through the 1990's. What a decade of Fashion it was! ❤️‍🔥

too many people in these comments are used to modern fashions bland and robotic fashion runways. before that THIS was how a fashion runway was, it was carefree, fun, and full of individual personality, not just this show but MOST brands displayed their runways in this way. fashion is currently more boring and strict than ever and it's very sad that people believe that is the norm.

This era... circa 1977-1982(3) to me is just so bad ass, on many levels. Everyone focuses on the obvious periods in our pop culture but there was a very mature, glamorous, sophisticated, understated and quiet confidence of this period that is highly appreciated even still- yet overlooked, without definition, other than "disco era".

@18:10 Emotional Rescue by The Rolling Stones. Mick and Jerry were dating at the time. I love seeing these fashion shows from the late 70's and early 80's because it shows everyone THE original supermodels like Jerry Hall, Pat Cleveland and Janice Dickinson to name a few. They paved the way.
