FINDING JACK CHARLTON is the definitive portrait of an extraordinary man; an English World Cup winning legend, who became an Irish hero. Directed by Gabriel Clarke (Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager; Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans) and Pete Thomas (Take His Legs), and shot on location in Ireland and England, the film also details Jack’s previously undocumented life with dementia. The document...

Were has the full version gone from RUclips?
Really enjoyed it, found the dementia side hard hitting ...but he was a genuine bloke, what you saw is what you got. God Bless Jackie !!
The republic of Ireland's greatest ever manager. Thanks for everything Jack.
Big Jack Charlton a Englishman, a Legend in two countries England 🏴 and The Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪 He took The Republic to heights no one had seen before, proved to the world Ireland 🇮🇪 was a force to be reckoned with. Love you Jackie. RIP
What a great documentary and what a shame I never met the Man he was just Brilliant .It shows you how messed up the Honours list is ,Why was he never Knighted because he had balls
Imagine Jack Charlton playing sweeper with Messi against him...Messi wouldn't even get a sniff of the ball and would probably get sent off from frustration.
Greatest documentary I’ve ever seen.
Just watched this. Great, but sad. What a man, & his wife a great, great woman.
Anyone that loved Jack Charlton should read his autobiography. The man had no ego or self entitlement.
Helluva good documentary, though truly heartbreaking. Builds a strong picture of what the man was really like - a real maverick. With the Irish team blessed with copious talented mavericks themselves, it makes sense he was the one to develop them into a seriously respected world-class team. He'll be missed but never forgotten ❤️🇬🇧🇮🇪❤️
‘They think a lot of you, in Ireland’ ‘No idea’ Fucking right. We love Jack. Very sad to see him like this😞☘️
❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of the greats..... and trust me, I know very little about football, but I know a good man when I see one.
loved it
We do think a lot of you here in Ireland Jack and always will 😢☘🇮🇪you'll be forever in the hearts of the Irish ❤
His Dementia is only a few years of his life. The vast majority has been magic. If he had cancer or heart trouble it wouldn't have altered how we thought of him, it's part of old age but Dementia for the wrong reasons has hung over him & football as a curse. It's only a few have suffered so let's not ban heading. Look at boxing!
"....the definitive portrait of an extraordinary man", yet it hardly mentions 22 years as a loyal one club player in a fantastic Leeds team.
One of my heroes
Jack once told me to fuck off he was probably right , we were banging on the window of his press conference But jack was great a great man
There will be only one
Brilliant film. Jack was a proper man's man
Just finished watching it today..what a fucking bloke. The way he treated Paul McGrath in particular speaks volumes for the type of man he really was. RIP Big Jack
After watching it twice in one night, first time a was sober, just know I watched it as I was fluttered and still the same result... Crying, laughing and for anyone who remembers those days the most of all a proud sense of IRISH!!! We love you and always will "Are Kid"!!!!
I was proud to be Northumbrian.
Our kid
What's the song at the very start?
It's a cover of The Wild Rover, I'm just wondering who did it.

@@tc2664 Thanks!
Just in time for Charlton's death. Good timing or bad?
No one gets to hold onto their own memories forever.Jack etched his whole life into history though and there'll always be someone somewhere who remembers what he achieved and who he was...how many of us will be able say that.
Ireland legend
Could never stand the man
there is always one idiot.. i guess its your time
@Rona K to let you know
@@imedi takes one to know one
So moving God bless Jack 🙏 🇮🇪
That looks a special.....I’ll be watching it
Thanks for the memories Jack, We're all part of Jackie's army :-)
As an Englishman, I don't care he managed Ireland, but when you think England have only just beaten Eire for the first time in 35 years a meaningless friendly, 10 years of that was because of Jack and the wonderful team he had. I rooted for Ireland in 94 because England at that time were non existent as a team. We need our Home nations at tournaments and I include Ireland in getting to tournaments.
Why should you care if an Englishman managed Ireland?
I don't mean to come across as rude because I believe you've said this in good faith but Ireland isn't one of your supposed home nations and rightfully so

fun fact- i lived in orlando in 1994 and I got to spend the day with the Irish team. i was 16. i remember walking into the hotel. Jack was sitting at the bar drinking with a gang of people around him. we walk to a back room. and in the was irwin, moran, sheedy, aldridge and townsend. got to play pool for the day with them. have a great pic, 7 autographed jerseys and 2 footballs. some day.
Good to see your a Leeds fan , we should stay in the premier league this season . Fun fact my son is playing in the Leeds under 23 team he's 17 and an amazing left foot , I'm a dub his mam is english but he spent his life here in ireland .

"They think alot of ya, dont they in Ireland" Jack- "I don't know" that choked me up. we will always think the world of him.
Is right David. Jesus I'm in bits after that.
He loved Ireland heartbreaking god bless him
I can tell this is going to be a hard watch if they are going to be showing the dementia side of him :'(
Well said my friend he is a god over here in ireland gave me.some of the best days of my life rip big man
Northumberland has so many Celtic links. Don't think of him as an English man but even if he was from the home counties he would still be my hero.
Pretty sure I'm gonna cry watching this.

Leeds United Legend RIP
Working Class Hero werar Jackie
What a legend. RIP Big Man.
Don't think I'd get through that 😭
If you're concerned about it being a hard watch, it is in a way, but it's well worth it for the behind the scenes, joy, history / context, interviews, lovely little intimate time with his family. Dementia hits hard sometimes and close to home for me too, but I really recommend it and hope you can watch it sometime. Take care x
