All joking aside, I loved the Shack. But out of 4 managers only one was worth anything. That manager kept things clean, organized and kept a constant full stock inventory, even force feed was full. Made selling so much easier. Under that manager it was the only time i made money at the shack.

I remember tidbits and our local corner stores sold the small boxes. I was curious to know when I became an adult if Nabisco still made them so I emailed the company in early 2000 and to my disappointment the rep said that was a product they discontinued. I will order these online if they're still available to try. I'm excited and thanks for the nostalgia, I'm glad there are still people in the world who remember the good things from childhood.

Now I know why speciality stores like this aren't around anymore even more than retail in general.

Lol If I had to come up with an analogy of you two doing this clip, it would be that Young Sheldon, well into middle age, cloned himself to have a discussion with his cloned self about Coke. And he is doing so after he watched every episode of Beavis and Butthead, and Dieter on Sprockets. Lol

I too was on the search for my favorite childhood snack and found those on Amazon. But I remember TidBits being a lot cheesier. Sadly they didn’t transport me back to my youth.

I worked at RS in the 80s too. Had a VCR come back, customer exactly like Larry, did not understand how to operate the varactor tuner, refused to read the owner's manual to learn how. I hooked it up to the store TV antenna and walked through the steps as I tuned in a couple different channels. The guy wanted his money back anyway, so got it. Had another Larry, who returned almost everything. Only thing the kid ever kept was blank Beta video tape. Everything else, he would play with for a couple weeks, then return. He did the same to another RS a couple miles away. It must have been the manager of that other RS that talked to the DM about "Larry" chronically returning stuff to both our stores. The DM called me and told me that he had called the kid and told him not to shop at RS anymore, because of his abuse of the return privilege.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told people how much more life has sucked since 2002 when Tid-Bits were taken off the market. I loved these things. Some tidbits and a marathon bar outta the freezer with an ice cold De.Pepper. Oh yeah. That sounds good.
