Jesus Stay
After being rejected in His hometown, Jesus made His way to Capernaum. In the synagogue, He drove out an impure spirit, leaving the people amazed. But His work didn’t stop there-He healed Simon Peter’s mother-in-law and continued to cast out demons and cure sicknesses. His power was undeniable, so much so that even demons proclaimed Him as the Son of God.
As morning came, Jesus withdrew to a quiet place, but the people of Capernaum found Him and made a heartfelt request: Jesus, stay. Stay with us. Keep healing. Keep teaching.
Isn’t that a request we can all relate to? Just as the disciples likely longed for Jesus to stay before His ascension, we too desire His presence. Yet, He has never le...

Luke 4:14-30 - Offensive Grace
Просмотров 97 часов назад
In this sermon, we explore the surprising truth that grace can offend. Jesus' hometown of Nazareth was initially excited to hear him proclaim himself as the fulfillment of Isaiah 61, but their joy quickly turned to anger. Why? Because the grace of God extended beyond their expectations-beyond their nationality, their status, and their assumptions of who "deserved" it. Grace, God's undeserved lo...

Sorrow With Direction

How do you view sin? In this video devotion, we dive into the Apostle Paul’s letters to the Corinthians, focusing on a shocking case of sin in the church of Corinth. Paul’s call for repentance and godly sorrow challenges us to examine our own hearts and reflect on the weight of sin in our lives. Take time to examine yourself against God’s holy law. Feel the sorrow of sin but do not despair-ther...
The Solution to Evil

In this video devotion, we reflect on the difficult truth of King Herod’s depravity and the world of sin into which Jesus was born. King Herod’s ruthless jealousy led to the massacre of innocent children in Bethlehem, demonstrating the depth of evil in his heart-a darkness we, too, encounter in our world today. We often recognize the brokenness around us: lies, betrayal, greed, and wickedness. ...
Luke 2:41-52 - Our Perfect Substitute and Sacrifice

What if you could glimpse into the childhood of Jesus? Imagine Him as a toddler, a boy, and a teenager-growing, learning, and experiencing life just like us, yet without sin. In this week’s sermon, we reflect on the account from Luke 2, where 12-year-old Jesus stays behind in the temple, astonishing the teachers with His wisdom. Through this story, we see the profound mystery of Jesus’ dual nat...

Luke 2:1-20 - The Awe of Christmas
Просмотров 17Месяц назад
Awe is a difficult thing to describe, but you know it when you experience it. Awe is great and it is an experience that doesn't come around all the time. In fact, because awe can be killed by familiarity, awe is very rare. Our familiarity with anything can dull our sense of awe for things that are so beautiful or so vast or so important or so meaningful. How many times have you heard the Christ...

Truth That Changed It All

When Joseph didn't know the truth about what was happening, he operated on the basis of what he thought was true. But then, an angel appeared to Joseph and revealed to him the truth - his soon-to-be wife was pregnant through the Holy Spirit. The even greater truth with that this child was God in the flesh and he had come to save people from their sins. This truth changed everything for Joseph, ...
Psalm 132 - Home for a Pilgrim

The Ark of the Covenant was cherished by the people, but also feared, because this was where the Holy God promised his presence. And the holy and the unholy just don't mix. That's a truth that Old Testament believer knew well. It was built into their worship life. And this is still true today. We have no right to stand before a perfectly holy God, nor could we. God made a plan to solve this and...

Psalm 130 - Hope for a Pilgrim

There is a hopeless despair that comes when you are too far behind that you can't catch up. That is our state before the Lord, although many times we need convincing. We need convincing that our sins are serious and God takes them seriously. Jeremiah did his best to preach to the people and get them to take their sins seriously, but they did not repent. God wants us to take our sins seriously a...

In addition, the LONANG (laws of nature and nature's God) can be weaponized. Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Rom 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Rom 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Mat_18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Mar_9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. Luk_17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Luk 18:6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. Luk 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? Luk 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Job 42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Blackstone's Commentaries on the Laws of England, Book 1, Sec. “2 Of the Nature of Laws in General, ” page 41 states "This law of nature, being co-eval with mankind and dictated by God himself, is of course superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times: no human laws are of any validity, if contrary to this; and such of them as are valid derive all their force, and all their authority, mediately or immediately, from this original." and in the fourth book which is criminal law, Blackstone said that the highest crime is treason against God while treason against the King was second. If you look in current books on legal analysis on Amazon they totally ignore God and the LONANG (Laws of Nature and Nature's God). I have read that this is due to the infamous Erie v Tompkins case.
Great message!
Good message man. God Bless you and your family
Thanks for listening! Lord's blessings!
So wonderfully said…simple truth explained!!! It boils down to Either we will pay for our sins for eternity in Hell or we can accept Jesus payment of our sins and spend eternity in heaven with Him. Well done my friend, thank you for this video.
Great, inspiring job! Thank you.
Thank you for sharing 🕊
"What shall we Christians do now with this depraved and damned people of the Jews? ... I will give my faithful advice: First, that one should set fire to their synagogues. Then that one should also break down and destroy their houses. That one should drive them out the country."[Martin Luther]
Excellent devotion. Thank you!

This is bullshit. The Christian god faces no challenges of any type but he's going to torture people who fail their challenges in the most agonizing way possible forever if they fail theirs. No. That dumbass argument about how Jesus was tempted like us but never sinned and then try to play it up by saying he had to face even more difficult challenges because he had the power to avoid the cross if he wanted because he was innocent but chose not to, is not a justification for torturing people as sadistically as possible forever. If it's so difficult for humans to avoid sinning that it's to the point of impossibly then it's wasn't as difficult for Jesus as it is for everyone else. It would have to be to the point of impossibly like it was for everyone else because that's how difficult it is. To the point of impossibly. And trying to play it up by saying he faced harder challenges is like telling a disabled person that they're unjustified for failing because the other guy who had superhuman powers was able to do something that no one else has ever done. This is manipulative bullshit. The Christian god is an infinitely cruel, infinitely grotesque, infinitely manipulative, infinitely sadistic ass-wipe. He's the most evil disgusting monster ever to exist literally in eternity.
Probably because he was teaching ethics and morality that was thousands of years ahead of his time and still hasn't been emulated, people now know how to act to be like Jesus but everyone is left wanting. I don't think anyone can say they no someone that behaves like Jesus did.
Jesus is identified as the Messiah, because White people conquered the world and destroyed other's gods. You don't believe in Jesus yourself. If you did you would not send armies to kill other people. But, you are selfish, and use Jesus as an excuse to take from others. l
Wise Words.
Praise to the Lord, who will prosper your work and defend you; Surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend you. Ponder anew What the Almighty can do As with his love he befriends you. (CW 234:4) Will spend some time pondering and being humbled that God would pour his grace on me. Thanks for the devotion!
Love it.. naming is SO hard!!
