The ABC's of Emotions

Here it is. The last lesson of the 2019-2020 school year. This again gives an overview of the real lesson which is found on Quaver. This also reviews how to get to Quaver Music and Quaver SEL. Have a great summer.

This video explains how you can use the Scratch Jr. block printable to practice without the application. If you need a copy of these, the link is below. If you don't have access to a printer, just draw the blocks that you want to use onto a piece of paper. The block worksheet came from the website ScratchJrFun.com.

This video shows you how to email your projects to me.

This video explains what loop code is and demonstrates for students how to use it. Students will have the opportunity to create a new project showing their use of the loop block.

This lesson is more challenging and involves scripts for our sprite, Scratch Cat, but also background changes, and special effects including music. Don't forget to share it in my studio: scratch.mit.edu/studios/26461347/.

In this video, we will create our own hidden numbers game. You will create new characters and hide them behind objects in the room. When a player touches the correct object, that object will reveal the hidden number. For a challenge, hide 5 - 10 objects in the room and code the game to play.

In this project, we will use what we know about motion blocks and how to loop using repeat blocks to code Scratch Cat to chase the mouse. The lesson ends with a challenge so watch it all the way through!

This lesson explains the use of loops in coding. You will learn how to identify when a loop is needed and use the correct code blocks to create the loop in a program.
