Highland or lowland coffee?
I remember this exact machine standing around at home during my childhood and Im not sure if it was ever used haha I was always fascinated with the little accessories like the portafilter, although I had no idea how they worked.
did you ever fix the issue?
Saan pp ito
Haha, this was my first espresso machine and it still works 30 years later. Of course I've graduated to better machines, Normcore tampers, scales under brew heads, etc.. etc... but as far as the lower cost machines went one could do worse including the even less expensive Krups and Deloghi's. This particular Krups is Swiss built and if I remember correctly the Thermoblock may be Italian produced. It isn't a total made in China junker and it can produce crema. I always used beans local roasted or just flown in. It was a good starter machine that was not great at steaming and I don't think I even tried Latte art with this one but I could pull some very reasonable shots with crema.
First time removing the face plate and did the cleaning. When attempting to align the screw holes and the middle hole to the drum. When screw in, I notice the ball bearing has to lift up the drum to align the hole! I probably spent 40 minutes to figure that out! The tail of the screws scratched up the surface when aligning the holes..😢it will scratch even more in the long run. My bullet was 3 days old since I got it…
I just ordered one on Ebay. Does anyone know the year this was made? I love vintage percolators. Love the video!
3:32 i'd love to see how your exhaust set up works. Was it easy to set up?
Hi! What kind of liquid are you using to clean the front pannel from dirt and oils? It seems it’s working well, as you use zero to no power to clean that. I need this liquid as well 🙈 thank you!
Me too. Did you ever find that the second espresso made on a given morning was never any good? I used ground Cafe La Llave mostly, until I discovered the Illy pods that fit it. Those made very good espresso.
I want buy like this roaster ,,, do you recommend me ?
Yes, it is a great small roaster.
I have information that might interest you.
To get that impeller off isn’t it just a small hexagonal set screw? Since that wasn’t shown in the video what was the trouble and getting that removed and replaced cleaned and replaced? I’m currently doing research on what roaster to get as my hot top roaster that I’ve been using for almost 20 years is in need of replacement so I’m considering either this bullet roaster or the Cormorant. This roaster definitely seems to be a little bit better built but I always gain a lot more knowledge by watching cleaning and maintenance videos than the regular marketing videos of these machines switch to show you how to roast coffee. Thanks for taking time to post this video very well done although I did have to turn the volume down a little bit whenever the music came on as the volume of the music was much louder than your voice. Anyway appreciate your efforts in posting this very informative.
Thanks for the comment. My editing skills are a work in progress. There is a small hex set screw that needs to be unscrewed to pull off impeller. Since the impeller was not cleaned since purchasing, it took longer to get the set screw out. The Aillio is a great roaster and I strongly recommend.
Could you take a few pictures of the wiring on the inside? I can comment my email if you’re willing to do that. I’m putting one back together and forgot to take pictures of the wires and can’t find a wiring diagram for it online.
The next time I visit it.
Thanks for the video, I like the wood on your walls.
Thanks
is the 964 model in video 30 years old and still working , if so what country was it made thank you
Yes, it is still working and making a decent shot of espresso. Not sure country of origin but will check.
It's Swiss made@@venturecoffeecompany
Love the music...and percolator coffee ♥️
Hi. Thank you for this great video. I'm just curious, what brand vacuum are you using? I need to get a better vacuum and I like the one you were using. Thanks!
I currently just use an old shop vacuum. I think it is Craftsman.
Great video, I’m about to roast for myself primarily and want to know what diameter are the holes in your sorting screen please? Thanks from Australia
What’s the roast capacity in this machine?
1 kg
I from what i have read it will only do about 1.5 to 1.75 lbs
@@Stevesbe Thanks, any idea what minimum roast weight is?
@@davidbergin6184 i think they said it was 100grams but trying to roast small amounts in a roaster that's designed to do 2 lbs isn't good it's too much thermal energy
@@Stevesbe I have to do 2 batches in my Gene Cafe once a week. If I could do 1 pound per roast it would save a lot of time,
It's been months trying to find your channel. I've recently decided to buy myself my own home roaster. I got tired of stale coffee beans. It's really a gamble every time.
Good luck, what roaster are you planning to purchase?
@@venturecoffeecompany haven't decided yet but I like your setup.

We offer green beans from the Philippines if you are interested.
Ours still makes shots with crema. I think perhaps your grind was not correct.
A combination of a pour grind and elevation (9000 ft) are the factors.
As much fun as we make of Krups this was arguably the best machine they had put out. I have some high end machines and in comparison this Krup is of course more limited in extraction options and the machine is less forgiving. Having said that if you follow best preparation and serving practices, perform proper machine maintenances, the Krups 964 can make a good tasting espresso shot with creama. These lower end machines suffer most with frothing milk drinks but again there were other Krups, Deloghi, general Department Store models that were far wose. This machine even got nods as being a prosumer model - mid 1990 reviews.
Does it have a dual drum design?
I do not believe it is.
Cool. I still have this same machine. I just pulled it out of the garage archives. I am so happy it still works. It was also my first. Mine makes a nice 3 layer shot with crema. 😉
How old is it and what’s the model number?
from where is your coffee? BOKOD?
Yes, from the Barangay of Daclan in the Bokod Region.
i liked this video.
Thanks
Would love a video on your ventilation system. Thanks!
Coming soon!
Would love a video showing how your ventilation system works. I just purchased a bullet and hope to use inside a small apartment. Thanks!
how much do one of these roasters cost? great vid thanks!
$2,800 not including shipping costs. I ordered mine through Sweet Maria's a month ago and have been loving it.
Hi Venture Coffee Company , i have a Roaster machine just like you and has the same error but different code ( error code 3072 i think). So i don't know if you could help me by giving some advise or a way to slove that problem. thank you.
I still get the ErC 528 on a regular basis which is annoying. Tricking the machine and forcing a roast usually thwarts the error code. I run the machine without beans in roast mode for 3 minutes before toggling back to pre-heat.
Venture Coffee Man.. Are you checking messages?
So was there just a loose connection somewhere?
Still not sure but seems like it may have fixed the issue.
No, but still get the error but force the machine past pre-heat to roast which gets machine up to temp and then no more error codes.
How many roasts / hours do you have on it?
I thought you were going to explain how the R1 worked ...
I am working on a new instructional video.
That's so cool!
Thanks for the subscription. I actually had ideas and plans to return to Davao and use my family's farm to grow coffee and chocolate cacao in Mindanao sometime soon in the future. Do you know any chocolate or coffee farmers in Davao or Mindanao?
Could you post video on how you duct the roaster out your window?
That old krups.
Whoa! Great Job
Very cool that there was a Filipino booth during our first year to the Expo. Too bad we missed out on getting a photo of the group because we weren't there until Sunday.
Hopefully we can have a booth in Boston next year.
The Philippine Farmers look to be having a good time in USA.
Cool.
Cool video!
Cool shirt
Thanks, it is an old shirt from Grimpeur Brothers Coffee.
Make a more detailed video. Also I would love to order some imported beans.
I am working on a more detailed video about using the Bulllet R1. You can check out the website www.venturecoffeecompany.com/shop for the coffee we offer. Thanks!
if you need a hand in video editing, special effects and some animation, I do those. I am also a coffee enthusiast. I live here in the Philippines.
Wow such local places and natural! Do you like Durian?? Great video, just subbed to your channel and looking forward to more vlogs 😃😃
Yes, I love Durian! It must be part of the Filipino blood.
Another great one!! 🙌🏻
Cool vlog! I’m in Southeast Asia currently and vlogging my own travels!
