Mummies Found in the Netherlands!
This little church in a little town of Northern Netherlands has one of the most unique attractions in the entire country: there are 4 mummies in its basement.
In 1765 some carpenters were doing some maintenance on the church and ran out of the church in a massive panic because they came across these 4 mummies that no one knew were there.
These mummies are the nobles who had ordered the church to build a crypt in 1609 along with some religious figures who practiced here; the crypt was closed up shortly after and totally forgotten about.
Originally there were 7 people down here but today there is a teenage girl who died of tuberculosis in 1610, an elderly woman who died in 1618, a man who d...

Ghost Hunting Netherlands Most Haunted House
Просмотров 432 месяца назад
This is the most haunted house in the Netherlands. In fact, it is not a house or a home but an abandoned convent. Built 1909 to house a group of nuns called the Sisters of the Childhood of Mary to take care mentally handicapped children. It is not proven but widely believed that the nuns were not taking care of the mentally ill children but doing the opposite, I'm sure your mind can imagine the...

Nice video! Glad to finally see a travel youtuber who actually tries to learn the history and culture of where they are travelling :) If you haven't left Korea, I recommend you to visit that Ganghwa island, it's only an hour (maybe 1.5) drive from Seoul and they still have fortresses that US Navy had a battle with Joseon Army back in the late 19C (I mean, well, the US Navy killed all the Joseon Army, so I'm not sure if it can be called 'a battle'). The battle's recreated well in the first episode of Netflix k-drama _Mr. Sunshine_.

Baekje was not the country that brought Buddhism to Korea, but the country that brought Buddhism to Japan. The country in Korea where Buddhism was first introduced was Goguryeo, and the first country to have Buddhism as its state religion was Silla. And Baekje had a great cultural influence on early Japan. If you have been to the Asuka period ruins in Japan, you will often see the term Kudara, which means Baekje. And because Japan has rarely been attacked from the outside, the Baekje-style buildings built by the Baekje people are relatively well preserved, but in Korea, they were destroyed during the war, so only ruins remain. In Japanese historical dramas that cover the Asuka period, you can find Japanese royals wearing Baekje clothes and speaking Korean. It is easy to understand that the relationship between Baekje and Japan is similar to the relationship between France and England in the Middle Ages.

Idk if you already left here, but I hope you had a great time in Korea!

I know this place like the back of my hand, I come there every year. Someone smashed all the marble off the stairs during the summer of 2023, after this video was filmed. The metal cage is gone, but the stairs are bumpy now. I suspect that it was construction workers working on the inland side of the hotel complex. I did my best to clean off the rubble. The hotel is very popular with youth during the summer evenings. It's the only place you can really hang out in peace in Malinska. When alcohol is involved, they usually sit on the roof of the smaller building connected by the corridor, which can be reached with normal stairs (which you reached, but you didn't go up). You said it's office spaces but it's just smaller hotel rooms. When there's no alcohol involved, they climb the ladders to the roof of the big building. Even in the dark. There are two ladders on opposing sides, one is a bit wider than the other. It's really not that dangerous if you're sober, the bars are solid. You just have to watch your head. Arson is not an uncommon occurrence, as you can tell by the pile of ash in what used to be the bar in the main hall. The wooden panels falling from the ceiling are probably what's burned. There's also some fireplaces.

The chances of a bat biting you are about 3 million to 1. They are blind. Same with any bug that takes off. Don't swing at it, and make it mad. It will fly or jump away on its own. You are at least a thousand times their size. Bats can feel the vibration, and fly away from you.
