Cool Runnings, Lagoon 400, in spectacular Chagos a remote uninhabited Indian Ocean Island
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.7 лет назад
Over a 3 week period we enjoyed resting at Chagos with good friends from 2 different countries. This place is simply like no other, and one of the very few left in our world that is so remote and so pristine because of its isolation. Lovely to experience and something we will treasure all our lives.

@david How deep is the lagoon apart from the shallows where the boats are anchored ?
Looks great, your at hull speed mate!
they should have sped up and passed or slowed and got behind you.
He's flat out! haha
Running good but boat wakes are far worse than swells. Video from inside the Aquila would be better from a perspective viewpoint. Thanks!
Fantastic boat 🛥 How fast is it? 20 kn is possible? 😎
beautiful
Thanks fo the video!! how does that helm station position feels like? good visibility? would you feel safe in rough conditions/nights?
Too short
I would sure like to accompany you on a delivery sometime. Had to sell my boat. Proud of you Dave!! Living your dream!!!
Is that in Kiwi-land?
This was sailing from Panama City to St.Pete, FL ...Gulf of Mexico.
That's was a beautiful everything...
Looks like an interesting bit of footage but the sound quality lets it down . Creaking camera too... pity
Hey where did you get the hardtop from? Is it aftermarket? We just bought a 400 S2 and its canvas so we are looking to put a hardtop on but cant find a supplier.
If you look at our blog I have a piece explaining manufacturing and install of it. I did it myself. Blog is svcoolrunnings.blogspot.com
How long of a ride was that ?

New here buddy cool channel. Hope you guys are well. Amazing place. Love the water.
Hope you leave it clean for ti’s originals inhabitants. The won their own island back. In case you do not know were you realy are.
We left it cleaner than we found it....that was always our motto. It's truly a spectacular place!
To everyone who says we have bad audio: we pretty much don't care, it's just for memories, so please stop mentioning it; we get it!!
Awesome! Thanks for a longer video! Lol
Seems like the wrecked catamaran is a "Nautitech 82"
Hi, I project owning a Cat (L400) to live in. Im looking for owners to talk about this boat (L400) and lifestyle to be prepared. I give my Skype or Discord on request :) Thanks in Advance
Hey David and family. Scott from “Off the Starboard Hull” We are 5 days away from sailing to the Marquesses, any anchorage’s that you would call one’s not to miss? Hope to hear from you Cheers Scott
Hi Scott.....Fatu Hiva (Bay of Virgins) is out of this world...lots of details and pics on our blog www.svcoolrunnings.blogspot.com ....that may help of our stay in Marquis.....we made landfall there straight from Galapagos....its not to be missed ;) Best of luck and have fun....love your channel....just have had very limited internet so have not been able to keep up...but will when we reach home in FL in July this year ;). Kind regards Dave
Guessing you were using a GoPro or similar in a waterproof housing. Can't do that and expect to have intelligible audio. Do your viewers a favor and add a voiceover track.
Awesome footage Cool Runnings - loved meeting you guys, loved your video and look forward to seeing more :) - no pressure !!!
Nice takes and images but bad audio.
USA flag but you sound definitely South African?
Love the deck level view of the waves chasing you down
awesome!!
Thanks for this post! And the kids!
you might want to change location of mic , ouch on ears to get volume to here your voices
Excellent! I'm looking forward to your next video! Thanks Cool Runnings!
Thar wrecked cat was also shot by the Delos crew - nice video guys.
Thanks Michael! Hope you are doing well and your sailing plans are on track!!!
I cant watch it...hmm?
ultimate lifestyle cant get any better... i want to do the same one day sail the pacific and the world lol:) thanks for the vid.. bless "ofa atu
David thanks for sharing this video with us! I was hoping to see a few shots of the forward view as you were sailing under these wild conditions, but I also know it is challenge to film during this time. Maybe next time. Cheers mate to you and your family.
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
very nice video apart from the sound that is.... I am you will work on that. many thanks for sharing. Best from Hong Kong
That has to be one of the most beautiful things I've seen!
Cool shot. I am a subscriber and you got your first like. What drone did you use? I have a DJI Inspire 1 that I am happy with.
Thanks...I have a DJI Phantom 3 professional...also happy with it. All the best.
It is doing great. Be careful with the salt water. Btw, many of your clips dont have comments? Dont you want to know what people think or take in on the ideas people may give you? Or did you just forget some setting when you upload?
If you want to see what Bora Bora was like before it was commercialised , go here.
You guys are sure livin' la vida loca & I'm loving watching you do it. Enjoy God's wonderful, glorious creation to the full & as always....fair winds & safe havens. xxxx
Food looks yummy!
Thanks Mike....good to make connection....we're are you now?
Boat looks great and covering good ground! Might have to ban you for making us GREEN with envy though ;) PS - Tender looks great, very wise to get a cover for the tubes!!
