Namaqualand National Park
Dramatic change of scenery as we headed towards the Cape West Coast and decided to spend two days in the Namaqua National Park. The Park is famous for its spectacular spread of wild flowers in the months of August and September - so although we were here at the "wrong" time (February), we still enjoyed the diversity and the "layout" of the Park - moving from inland to coastal regions - and lots in between.

What a priviledge to see the #kgalagadi Transfrontier Park so beautifully green. The landscapes were spectacular and the animal viewing did not disappoint. From #kalaharilions to #cheetahs and even a distant #leopard - it was all there to be seen. We spent one night in each of the camps #tweerivieren #nossob and #matamata. Probably the "hidden gem" of our trip so far. We were mesmerized by the stark beauty of this National Park. So much variety that we had not anticipated. We would love to be back here and take in some of the hikes and of course see the Falls when they are at 2000 cumecs ...what a #spectacular sight that must be. WE explore the northern and central parts of the Kruger National Park for two weeks. It was sunny, rainy, windy and cold - sometimes all within an hour or two. But the temperament of the weather made for some spectacular sightings.

What a way to start our 2022 South Africa @andoverland1224 trip. Marakele National Park was a first for us and it did not disappoint. Beautiful nature, spectacular vistas and awesome camp site! and_overalnd will be back here for sure!
