@@BackwoodsBikepacking Hey. Hah, funny. How did you know that? Yes, I love the X-Pro1 and still use it regulary! Had the the first one die on me some months ago, after an insane amounts of actuations. So now I am on my #2 X-Pro1.

I remembered reading an article about you with some great photos on Fuji X passion. I used to shoot Nikon D600/D750, but disliked the size of the camera bodies, and especially the new Z-line. I had been eyeing the Fuji X-series for a while and got a super deal on an X-pro1 back in 2015. I later ended up with an X-T3 and the X-E4, but there is just something with the images from the X-pro1 with the XF18 and XF35 f1.4.

Hi Simon. All the movies on the channel has been edited in Lumafusion on an iPad Pro 13.2 inch 2020 model. Just to give some background: I started playing round with video editing around 2010, learning basic skills in Sony Vegas. In 2013, I transitioned to Mac and FCPX, but I think I can count on one hand the number of movies I’ve edited in FCPX. The editing itself was fine, but as I only occasionally edited movies, I disliked how the data had to be organized in libraries, events and projects. That’s obviously great for pro use, but made things cumbersome for me. Lumafusion seemed to have the features I needed the most, and I really, really like the recent version. I guess the only feature I miss is the ability to play with colour curves to create my own funky LUTs and presets in the app. At the same time I switched to Lumafusion, I also began using the iPad as my main work tool. It’s not for everyone, but for me, the positives outweigh the downsides. As a newb, I tended to go for pro solutions, but nowadays, I enjoy keeping things simple and focus on what I find fun. For me, that’s storytelling, not technical perfection. Best regards, Mikkel

Thanks! 😊🙏🏻 This was late December back in 2021, so I only had about six hours of daylight. I think the temps went down to -13 degrees Celsius or so on my way back home, but it was single digits on most of the trip and pretty comfortable.

I grew up in the redwoods of Northern California, heavily logged, but if you know where to look there are first growth Redwood Groves that were spared. They are truly Majestic and wild. Beautiful mini documentary, keep it up!

Ah, the redwoods, I’m so envious. The trees don’t grow to those dimensions in Norway, but they’re still a far cry from former glory. Almost everything has been logged at one point or another.

I recommend checking ridewithgps.com to search for bicycle routes in Denmark. The page udinaturen.dk is great for finding places to camp. The possibilities to make your own routes are almost endless 😊

Glad to hear you like the content! 😊🙏🏻 The fat tires help smooth out the bumps and coarse gravel. That’s extra important riding with Banjo. The wide tires of the fatbike is great on the trails and riding on compacted snow. On tarmac or smooth gravel, the fat tires are overkill 😊

This was back in 2021, not 2023, and I agree, we felt a bit out of luck with the wind compared to what we usually encounter (I think we have cycled across Denmark six or seven times). I believe I mention that it was in 2021 in the very beginning of the movie, but I can understand your confusion if you thought it was 2023 😊 We haven’t been further west than Løgstør yet as these trips also function as a transport to Copenhagen to visit family and we are often a bit limited on time in spring or autumn. The west coast sure is tempting, though. I have been winter bikepacking a few times along the west coast between Slettestrand, Løkken and Skagen. Good times.

I know it might seem strict, but you are usually allowed to cycle in forest reserves and national parks as long as it is along gravel roads or the odd tractor road. One has to check before riding, Riding on trails is not allowed in some (most?) forest reserves, but in some of the newer ones, you are. I’m a bit divided, I love to ride in the forest, but I also love the quiet 😄

I shot this with the Fujifilm XT3 and the XC15-45. The clips were edited in Lumafusion on an iPad. I switched from Final Cut Pro last year. Not because there was anything wrong with FCP, but I enjoy the simplicity and workflow on the iPad better.

@@BackwoodsBikepacking yeah i switched from MacBook Air and Final Cut Pro to iPad Pro lumafusion editing throu external hard drive love it much more and it faster using lumafusion
