As you said. The issue is her mentality. Her history is not the problem but how she views it and wished to change it. Which was pointed out by Iskandar and Gilgamesh in Fate Zero. ~ She scorns the very marks she left on history. Wishing to changing them and remove herself from being king is akin to insulting every single person who chose to follow her. Now I just want to say generally and what I think is interesting; Regarding history as a king. The history of each king does not seem to really matter between servants. In history, things happen and changes occur like new kings taking power by slaying the old kings. For instance, Iskandar having all his descendants killed or the fall of Artoria’s kingdom. For kings, they accept this as inevitable while Artoria does not. What all the king servants seem to value is how each king handled the position of being a king. In other teams, they value each servants action when they were under the sword of Damocles. Which is why, Gilgamesh and Iskandar thought Saber was fool. Which is indeed kind of true.

@@theevillancer4230 Actually, the whole reason she wanted to not be king is because when she fought lancelot, his revelation of his identity broke her due to him going insane. She actually believed that Britain only fell BECAUSE she was king, and that all those meaningless deaths were all her fault. In a way, she was right, as Morgan was stated to be far more suited to be a ruler then Artoria. I think Gilgamesh and Iskander thought Saber was a fool because despite being a king, she still acted very idealistically and even criticized the other two despite having done much the same things as them Though, I’m pretty sure her talking about Charlemagne is more because as a king, he should uphold his country’s pride. And let’s face it, he’s a shounen protagonist, he’s gonna act a bit too relaxed and friendly at times.

@@totozhu4543 nah. You are actually mistaken and gotten Fate Zero’s chronological order wrong. Banquet of Kings, what I talked about happen in season 1 e 11. While the Lancelot reveal was in season 2 e 10. So she wasn’t broken back then. But rather simply regretted being king as Britain had fallen. Thinking that if she was not the king, but rather someone else was, then the Britain she knew would exist in the era she was summoned.

He has the wisdom to be able to spot roasts like this, but since it sounds like praises to his person he becomes blind to it. @@pskeifk Two? But she only won the fifth one, in the fourth one the grail cheated and chose Kiritsugu even when there were still 2 servants and 2 masters in the war and also Saber was being completely humiliated by Gilgamesh, i wouldn't call that a win.

@@Rei-Maon That's why I said "technically" The HGW is a team effort, if the master wins, so does the Servant. Same goes for if the Servant wins.

@@pskeifk Yes but they didn't win since Gilgamesh was still alive and had Arthoria in a very bad shape, the war doesn't end until only 1 servant remains and even if Kirei was killed they are still unable to kill Gilgamesh so we can't say that she actually won, the last one was Gilgamesh so he technically won.

@@Rei-Maon So, a tie then? In any case, that wasn't my point. My point was that she's probably the servant with the most experience in fighting HGWs, so who better to give lectures about it than her? Also, even without the forth, Saber has two wins under her belt, since she won the fifth twice.

If I remember Gawain's cooking is very average. Back then Saber was a king and operated as one, so she was quite selfless, also the cooking back then was not as specialized its now, now that Saber has tasted modern food, she cannot go back.

@@oscarmendez1477 Average my foot. His cooking's even worse than Elizabeth's. In Gawain's FGO interlude, Mordred gets punished by having to eat Gawain's cooking for an entire month.

@@oscarmendez1477 Mordred has A-rank Endurance and B-rank Battle Continuation, though the latter isn't listed in FGO for some reason.

@@finagle007 mostly for game balance. Battle Continuation is an active skill that grants Guts, Cu and a bunch of other servants have it. Mordred is meant more as a buster crit fuck tons of damage servant (much like Artoria tbh) as such all 3/3 of her active skills are geared towards that role. If she had had battle continuation that would delute her kit for frankly very little benefit considering low ranked Battle Continuation in that game is just next to garbage unless the servant is specifically designed around survival like Cu. Mordred's specific Niche in that game is being an Anti-saber Saber(particularly anti-Artoria) which isn't very relevant most of the time but to be honest she does so much damage she's still pretty good even when not exploiting her strengths. I had her when I was doing the Camelot Singularity and she fucking wrecked face agianst the Storm King because she was a Lancer Artoria.
