Просмотров 53 тыс.8 лет назад
1968 Barracuda Formula S 383, 4-speed. Ground up restoration. For Sale video; 10/5/15. 8/31/22- the owner (friend) is selling the car, as I'm building him a new 'Cuda. Inquire to the email below, thanks! Note, the few details shown in the video have been corrected- panel fitment, carpet, etc. We added some power to it as well. New 440S Stealth aluminum heads, roller rockers, TTI headers, Hurst ...
May I ask , you said the rear tire was 275, is it on A 15 inch wheel, & if so is it also 275/60 & what is the back spacing. Please & thank you
Wait, was this factory? WOW. I will enter into 2 decades of indentured servitude if you give me this car. (Jokes on them, I've got 5,maybe 10 years tops to live😜
Wow, if I find an old Cuda will you restore it? Great work
Always wanted one of those.
The quarter panel flanges are molded in? Big mistake!
My favorite. Would be excited to own it. Available?
Jayzus Fawking Chroist!
Sublime🦾🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's puzzling that you have done a phenomenal restoration of 98% of the car and missed the last 2%
Beautiful car, always wanted one of these
Now just remove the dog 383 and drop in a 392 hemi you'll be good 🤣
Beautiful car
Antenna delete? Trunk floor looks a little rough, inner quarters not body color, looks like overspray. Is there a broadcast sheet?
Super Sik Mr Lick !!! Freekin Love this Baby !
The Barracuda is now for sale as I'm building another Mopar for the owner. Inquiries please email benjamin_lick@yahoo.com
Quarter time?
John, the car was built as a bulletproof (engine) restoration. Could it go down the track- sure, but not intended as a race car. Probally would run in the high 11's/low 12's. It is now for sale again, as I'm building the current owner another car. You can inquire by email. benjamin_lick@yahoo.com
Beautiful Barracuda
Very nice and clean! And also lots of issues! solid car in total!
wow very very nice work
Spectacular 👍
Very cool car! Nice one here buddy!
I am building a model of this car, your presentation provided much data!
I had a all black 1964 Barracuda, 440 4 speed and 1974 Barracuda, 360, white vinyl top over medium blue body, 4 speed. Very nice Mopar!👍🏽
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime :-((
Wow that’s beautiful ! My favorite year Barracuda, that’s Formula S / 383 is so sweet ! I’d love to have it .
very cool car we got our grandson one it was a 69 green i notice the 67 have no marker lights weird
I have a rear formula s panel 716 830. 4449
BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful Barracuda, I like it almost as much as my '67 Tempest 326 H.O. 4 speed!
Very nice. Love that shade of red.
Interior and engine compartment looks great👍 but the trunk floor was fixed el chepo with patches and bondo it looks like.
I believe the bad trunk resto is the reason that trunk lid is so far off.....not as easy "proper" fix if that driver side rear quarter isn't where it's supposed to be....
Dam not a fan of muscle cars, I like this clean, and original, or near original stock 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 cars are done right
Better an off the factory floor !
this is an old video but just to be correct - the rear cargo area is NOT correct in this car. the 67-69 Barracuda fastbacks did not have the wheel house bumps visible and extending into the cargo floor. this car has had wider wheel well extensions welded in probably for wide tires or some other rear suspension modification. i have a collection of four of these cars, 2 68's and 2 69's. the above cargo area was not how these cars were manufactured.
I WISHD ID HAD 2 BARRACUDAS
my brother had one
NOT a real fs obvios clone wont tell what gave it away but blatant
Damn i got a 67 383 4 speed car sitting in a pasture. I didnt realize that they were rare.
More rare than the GTS
Very nice example I had a mint new old stock back panel piece I gave to my friend for his 68 not mint brand new not a repo
I had a 67 fs 383 I never had a strip it was originally green but wen I bought it it was purple but very easy to put back original had the build sheet fender tag machine number car paint and wheels were only thing not original mine was a 727 391 rear mine had a white interior I think ther were a little over a thousand of them in 67 with the 383 maybe all fs not sure
The trunk lid trim is way out, doesnt line up! Other than the trim that can easily be lined up the car is amazeingly brand new! Very nice!
Glad you were able to sell it and hope it found a good home. One question, the trunk lid does not line up well with the tail lights...what's the issue with that?
has been corrected
Is she for sale?
yes, now it is. email benjamin_lick@yahoo.com
personally i would want TTI Headers MSD Box Flow trhu Muffs and Auto
4 speed!
I swapped Hookers onto my '68 340-S, and found I paid for the name. They were poorly designed and manufactured... and cost a lot. I then found a set of Hedman Hedders that were MUCH better... and cost less. The car has run DEEP into the 11s at over 118 mph. :-D
@@pdq340 The 340 punched way above its weight. Duel points were a problem untill you learned a trix to setting them and the Carter AVS had to be understood for its docile nature... untill 2000 rpms!
Ben, The electronic ignition wasn’t a 1968 factory option and the tires/wheels are definitely not 1968 options.
SOLD anyway, Yeah "Grounded up" was in title
Benjamin, what was the rim tire combination on this car? Backspacing? 15X7's or 15x 8's? Nice combination and very nice resto!!
15x6 & 215/65 fronts; 15x10 & 275/60 rear. Rear is modified but appears stock.
The MoPar A-bodies w/ 5x4" bolt-circle hubs used 13" or 14"x5" wheels with 9" or 10" drum brakes. With the optional Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes (thru '72) that this one has, the rims would be 14"x5½", so-called "J" rims.
@@pdq340 that's what I had on my 68 formula S 340. 14 inch!
The rear trim panel is a poor reproduction.
Reminds me of the alignment problems that MOPAR trunklids seemed to always have.
Yeah I noticed that too , terrible 1/2 inch difference and no trunk mat or spare
No spare tire or jack? The front trim is not Formula S, they should be black like that of my ‘69, not silver.
not sure what you are referring to, but everything on this car is stock from the factory.
I have a picture of my 68 formula S and the grill was black also. The car was electric blue but don't know if that mattered. I would love to have the car back but it was plagued with drunk drivers hitting it twice and finally a 16 year old with a one hour old drivers permit ran a stop sign...totaled my car... oh hail hit it a week befor!
nice, drug on of those home from arizona to washington restored and sold it years ago,
One of my favorites
