The mission of Keep the Midlands Beautiful is to educate, inspire and empower citizens to improve the places where they live, work and play through litter prevention, recycling, and beautification efforts.
We are a small, local, nonprofit organization making a big difference with YOUR help!
We coordinate with approximately 310 groups through our Adopt-A-Highway, Adopt-A-Street, and Adopt-A-Waterway programs who remove hundreds of thousands of pounds of litter from the Midlands roads and waterways!

Adopt A Highway team recognition from Keep the Midlands Beautiful.
Adopt-a-Highway is one of our most popular programs. It is operated with assistance from the SC Department of Transportation (DOT) Gather an interested and enthusiastic group who is willing to adopt a state maintained road or highway and be responsible for picking up litter along its right-of-way on FOUR designated Saturdays a year for a TWO YEAR period.
