How to build a retaining wall in 3 minutes
Просмотров 16 тыс.4 года назад
This video details step by step instructions of how to build a retaining wall using 6" x 17" beveled retaining wall block / pavers and class 5 limestone fill.
Incase you decide to try this, Taco Joe did his mathing wrong. The center desk cut lengths @5:02 should have side lengths of 44.25” not 45.75”. 45.75” should be the overall length with sides added. Unless you want a screwy situation with the desk i advise to adjust accordingly.
Here Nov 2024 and found this amazing, only real DIY loft bed vid I could find so far. Thank you for sharing. This is my next project. As a foster parent we have to be frugal and make due with the space we have and this is exactly what we need.
Built one, doesnt go over the rails or bed frame plus the ladder is lacking detail on how to build. You’ll have to spend way more than $200, lumber is sitting just over $600 too unless you are able to find bargains wood that meets the length criteria.
you could run sleeved ss rope inside the hull for steering
Thanks for the walkthrough! For anyone coming here after me, and interested in making this build, I compiled the cut list here: 75"x54" OSB / plywood (1) 1x3 73.5" (2) (platform side - long) 1x3 73.5" (4) (railings - long) (estimated) 1x3 54" (2) (platform side - short) 1x3 54" (2) (railing - short) (estimated) 1x3 52.5" (2) (platform supports) 1x3 51" (4) (desk base - both sides) 1x3 49.5" (4) (desk long sides - both sides) 1x3 45.75" (2) (desk side support) 1x3 20" (4) (desk short sides) 1x3 18.5" (4) (desk supports) 1x3 10.75" (2) (desk shelf short sides) 1x3 9.25" (2) (desk shelf supports) 1x4 72" (8) (legs) 1x4 66.5" (2) (ladder rails) 1x4 13.5" (1) (ladder "top") 1x8 76.5" (2) (bedframe side - long) 1x8 54" (2) (bedframe side - short) 1x8 52.5" (1) (top of bookshelf) 1x8 51" (5) (shelves) 1x8 48" (2) (sides) 1x8 44.5" (2) (sides) 2x4 57" (4) (jack studs) 2x4 13.5" (5) (ladder rungs) As per a previous comment, though, I'm actually swapping out the OSB, making some minor modifications to the platform portion, and buying some pre-strung bed slats. I'm also adding a small 3-drawer cabinet underneath the desk. At least that's my plan, wish me luck!
Problem with securing all your joist hangers beforehand is all lumber isn't the same
5:57 what are the dimensions of the railings?
Could ya build me that bracket and I’ll pay you
Would love to build this for a Queen size mattress.... What components would I need to resize?
What size is the bed? Twin or full?
ingenious.
genius!!!
Anyone noticed the beautiful environment he lives in.. such a nice garden … great diy video by the way
Incredible. It’s so frustrating to see these very cheap beds in the store going for thousands. This is beautiful and affordable. Only very minor critique is: if you’re going to put a mattress on a piece of plywood, you’ll need an intermediate layer for air circulation, otherwise you’ll get a moldy mattress.
Nice work but you could have cut another foot off the tube.
So frustrating that MTD change the bushing and axle design, I’d like to upgrade my T210 to ball bearings but I can’t justify having to get new wheels tho.
Did you use the swith you removed from head of trolling motor?
It appears from the video that he did. He cuts the red cap opening to accept the original switch. The round switch knob I believe is one he added.
Wie heisst der Musik Track ?
I like it I have same exact kayak
Do u have a video for a California king size loft with no desk under it… I looking for one for my 17 year old son who is 6ft tall
How many total carriage bolts and size did you use?
Hi, would you happen to have a buying materials list and then a cutting list? I am building this with my son and as his mom have the very basics of skills but this is a do it together project so…. Will need more info pls
out of all the videos i watched today, this deserves the icing on the cake! wow, so detailed. there were other 2 guys selling plans and all they do is yap and did not describe what they actually did. sometimes silence with some textual instruction is a lot better than ego yapping!
Hey I will love to share with you a bed that I just did inspire by your video.
How much room does she have on top?
Hey, what did you use for the desk countertop? Thank you for the video
Great informative video ! May I ask what was the motor mount bracket thickness also is that aluminum ? Many thanks
I need to know that too !
I need a twin size, do you have a video?
Excellent work! One question, is this an 8ft ceiling room? Thanks.
Very clean and clever. I dig it.
Great video! I learned alot of tips for when I make a custom one for myself. I only wish there was some kind of narrator because I mostly do RUclips in the car when I'm driving. Still, great build.
You should get a head camera and film what you’re doing up close!
Thanks Joe building two for the kids 😊
Idk looks too hard for me
Do you by chance have dimensions for a Queen loft like this? Also what did you use to round the book shelf pieces?
I think he just un bolted carriage bolts to take down
Very Nice. Clean Build 🫡
Nice build and really great video production! Cheers!
Genius!!!
Hello Joe! Really interesting modifications. I had no idea it was that simple to remove the top of the motor and lengthen the wires to a switch made more accesssible to control the speed. I see may people rig pulley systems to steer the motor, but almost nobody does anything to control the speed and this was really puzzling to me... Can you provide more insight into the kind of switch that is? I am familiar with soldering and using blade connectors, but that switch is a mystery to me... also, can you tell us which cable (pins) color does what on the motor? Thanks Joe and happy fishing!
Nice video bro
affordable in india but lack of workerrs
How much for a custom bed for customer in Tokyo?
Wow
Great video, I can see you took your time to do it right! Thanks.
Me watching this 2yrs later 😢 wood is pretty pricey now
Great vid… great design. Thanks for sharing. I was able to use the techniques to built a similar loft bed for my son.
Thank you Taco Joe!
would you be able to build this without the desk underneath? or is the desk needed to make the frame sturdy?
yes you definitely can, but you may want to explore ways to re-enforce the legs in place of the desk (maybe another shelf?). Thanks for the comment
Do you have documented plans for this bed?
Very professional design. Cats always check and test what we are building. 🐱😎
Any details on the screws/bolts sizes and the cut dimensions for the desktop? Looking to build this in the next two weeks and want to make sure I have everything I need.
