To me, this is the saddest scene because it shows a child whose whole identity is taken away from him, the tragedy....horrible.

my favorite scene ever
This scene almost made me cry. A painful reminder of the Kurta clan's tragedy. Kurapika is the only one who knows those prayers now,
It still amazes me how 1999 seemed to understand some of the characters better than Togashi himself.
