I love the Cohutta, we were just there on Labor Day with a big group (video on Friday) Even 3 days ain’t enough up there. That trail to the north at 5:15, I’ve still never explored it. Several others too

@1870offroad the one going north is closed off now. Last time I was up there, there was a tree across the road not far from the top. I didn't have my chainsaw so I had to do like a 35 point turn to get turned around. Just one site up top and not even a good one.

@@1870offroad - Pretty darn close but you certainly did a wonderful job of highlighting many other places like the pond. I knew a lot was filmed in Jonesboro but until your video, didn't realize how many scenes were filmed in such close proximity.

@@explore_off_road it could be , I don’t remember if I said it in this video but this is the 1st Jeep I’ve ever owned. The Trucks and the Yukon I’ve owned before were all IFS. It may be the 12.5 wide 35s It may be the solid front axle just feels weird going over ruts in the pavement. Whatever it is it’s so slight that I actually forget it’s there after a little while

@@Huckleberry54 thanks, it is one of the things Im considering. Ive come across that somewhere also about the 2018s steering box. It’s hard to say because this is the only jeep I’ve ever driven. My reference points are a Silverado and a Yukon. That being said, when I upgraded to the MetalCloak steering, it feels even better than when I first bought it

Def sounds like a steering box issue.

@@vdub5818 the puller I had wouldn’t fit. Afterwards found out they make better ones. I wish I’d known before wasting half a day beating this one But dont worry, I put these videos on the internet and everyone commented how many other ways there were to do this 😂

By memory I just tightened down until the holes aligned and put in a cotter key, same as an old truck. But this was last summer, don’t remember for sure. I’d check a Haynes manual if you’re looking for torque values

It gets everyone different, I used to pass out from 1 yellow jacket. When this happened, I swelled up a little then hiked a trail. They don’t seem to affect me like they used to 🤷‍♂️

@@armani9861 water is good for hydration but not for sports team names. Every softball team was give a college team name. None of the teams wanted to wear a rivals jersey (we got crimson tide). Since our uniform only says tide with maroon colors (no other reference to Bama) the team wanted to be called Dr Pepper tide. Now we are the Dr Pepper Tide, no crimson

@@Explore4lo if you have the Georgia traverse saved then you already have it, the loop on the left side of the Ga traverse is the Big frog loop. If you don’t have any maps, google Vman1313 Google Docs page. He has numerous routes you can download as a GPX file for Gaia or OnX No cell service up there so be sure to download the maps for offline use

@@jeffmorris739 thanks for the comment that really helped. I had looked at that plateau earlier that morning on a map. Then up there while filming I’m trying to remember the name and couldn’t pull it up on the IPad. I saw Sequatchie on the map and was trying to say that. But I was wrong the Sequatchie is farther over than what I was filming. Thanks for the tip I Hadn’t seen Cumberland plateau. That little piece of info has helped me find what I was looking for. Now I can go research this and have a better understanding next time im up there.
