I remember going there every sunday after church with the whole fam from. I tried ice skating, and ate a lot of food back then at goldilocks! Man those were the days! After every meal, my sisters and my mom would go out and about to do their shopping. While me and my dad are on the ice skating side and spending money for tokens on their arcade games. I remember finishing one game and it costs about 200 to 300 and it's bag full of tokens! hahahahaha

I was 4 way back 1989. I remember we went there with my Fam when my Aunt and her Japanese husband visited Manila and to have a civil wedding. I still remember very clearly the Sanrio Characters that were put as a display at the mall entrance. My Japenese uncle came up to me and pinpointed Hello Kitty because he knew I am a big fan of the said character. ❤❤

Grabe.. sobrang nostalgic ako dito ah.. 5yrs old palang ako that time kung 93 yan.. I remember mga 8 or 10yrs ata ako, lagi kami nagpupunta sa Mega Mall tuwing summer every year ng elementary days.. definitely one of the best part of my childhood moments! thank you dito. nalulungkot ako kasi lagi ako sa megamall at shang dati nung bata ako, sa shang kasi nagttrabaho yung asawa ng kuya ko dati. kaya natuto ako bumyahe ng jeep kahit 8 yrs old palang ako para lang tumambay sa shang at mega para lang tumitig sa mga arcade lol.

if this taken 1993, I was 8 then. My Dad is one of the head engineer who built megamall. He Died almost 2 decades ago. I used to play on the grounds of megamall way before the building got erected. Few holidays had pass as they construct this and every Christmas as megamall is being built my Dads team as well as the architects will set christmas party for the workers and everyone who works there specially for their family (us the kids), there were tents built in front of San Miguel and sometimes staff of San Miguel joins on. All backhoe will have this little synchronized performance and all us kids were so amazed. when they started renovating megamall i cried so hard feeling so broken than i am loosing a part of my dads legacy. But recently we found his stash of scrap plans and site photos before megamall was built. I was a baby. I was literally able to see and live and grow with Megamall, I was not yet born when my Dad was added to the team who will work on constructing it. I remember my earliest childhood memory was when I was around 4 years old when they did ground breaking ceremony I had this personalized engineers vest and little hard hat. It was 1989. I was 6 when Megamall opened and my only wish is for my 7th birthday to be celebrated there. Thank you for this video. It brings so much joy in me.

Natatandaan ko pa 1991 una akong pumunta riyan. Sa Makati kasi ako nagwowork so isang bus trip lang at di pa masyadong matrapik noon. Pagpasok ko pa lang grabe super lamig kasi kaunti pa lang pumupuntang tao. Nanood ako ng Terminator 2 na showing doon. Buti na lang marami nanonood at may dala akong jacket. After a few days nangyari ang Pinatubo eruption at parang nag snow sa buong Metro Manila.

Megamall first partially opened in 1992. Katapat ng office namin ang building A at tumatawid lang kami sa kalsada ng EDSA kasi wala pa mga over pass at di pa gaano madami ang sasakyan. Unang kainan pa lang dati Wendy's tapos sinundan ng katabing Pollo Loco, hoth sa Building A. Under construction pa mga establishments sa Building B.

I can still clearly remember this. I was a 14-year-old high school student at the time. When Mega Mall first opened, we skipped classes to be there. OMG, those were the good old days!😆
