This scene was extremely epic, the show may have sucked, but this was nevertheless incredibly epic! Mozgus, "As long I have the scriptures, I cannot be harmed!" I mean like dude, Mozgus is awesome. I hated the message of the episode where Guts killed Mozgus, just a complete edgy 13 year old's view of religion; Guts just trying to rek religion and God, sad attempt imo. However the fight was epic, I was rooting for Mozgus the whole time and even though he lost he was extremely bada$$ in that fight.

I really did enjoy this scene. The first time I watched it.

When I saw for the first time their wings I thought it was bullshit that they'd include angels after all the demons and stuff. Then I analysed it and understood why it was included (thanks Beherit boy), but when I first saw that scene I got glad that they did it cause it adds a divine feel to it.

The very beginning of this video shows how fitting this song was for this scene and you know it's going to be a hard boss fight.

So a question of the anime. The egg of Griffith, the nameless egg who kidnaps Luca to talk. During Mozgus final stand against those monsters, where he has his speech. Did the egg empower them and kill the monsters for a purpose? or was it solely because as it mentioned later that it wondered if it had been found by mozgus if he would of let it be a part of his group? any Ideas? Just the fact Is aw its eyes widen on the part when mozgus says 'I have found faith means death'

i remember the awesome moment in the manga

It was after this scene that I stopped mindong the CGI and got me into the series. After this I watched movies, read loads of manga and watched almost entire old anime all before next episode came out. I never saw a scene this epic in any anime to this day. Guts standing alone versus an entire army of apostle level beings, and he doesn't care, because he has to save casca, who is not your usual dumb denzel in the stress but basically a handicapped innocent child. And the badass music, and the face reveals of all the torturers, and the reverse demon/angel theme? It was brilliant. Watched this scene probably a million times.
