Today I talked about the comment I received yesterday and then transitioned over to talking about metal detecting (again). :)

Today was something I called a "history corner" - I've mentioned Roman coins yesterday, so I've talked today a little bit about the Roman empire and how the Roman coins found their way over to the Central Europe.

I talked today about my metal detecting marathon that took place over the weekend, while I am being interrupted by Drake's erratic and stubborn behavior which then prompts me to vent my frustration... :D

Today's video is focused on plants, specifically Lady's bedstraw and St.John's wort which both happen to be yellow. :) We also might have seen honey buzzard (and a wasp nest they the buzzard dug up) and admired some thistles along the way.

Today's video got a bit dramatic towards the end... Drake managed to find an injured roe deer - fortunately I stepped in right away so Drake didn't hurt the deer. Unfortunately, I found out that it was already severely hurt - it was missing its hind leg, which appeared to be entirely cut off, most likely by a mowing tractor... I had to get back home quickly and call the order so that they can c...

First video of the summer is here... And funnily enough, it didn't feel summery at all today. :) We came across a couple of blushers, which made me talk about mushrooms - topic that filled pretty much the entire walk.

In the last spring video of this year, I talk more about feathers and the workings of feather molting, we came across a calling quail again (this time much more audible) and ended the video with a bonus ending from the garden.

In today's video, I explain why I don't go through the village on my morning walks and also talk about the brilliant evolutionary adaptation of owl feathers and how it makes them silent during their flight.

After more than a week of pause, I am back with another video. :) Summer is approaching, meadows are freshly mowed and we've heard two new species - common quail and eurasian skylark. :) I also talked about importance of wetlands habitats in connection to a rather rare species called corn crake.

Today was slightly uneventful walk... :D We've seen a flying black woodpecker doing the typical flight call, I talked about my allergies, we checked out the blusher again and then I shared how I finally mowed the garden after weeks of continuous rain.

I woke up very early today and caught a beautiful sunrise... I talked a bit about my photography era, then proceed to talk about Drake (again) and wondering about the current state of things... We also came across a fresh blusher mushroom, which led me to talk more about mushrooms, before I was interrupted by our neighbor walking his dog, whom I saw from far away, so I decided to end the video ...

Another day, the same path we have to take again... There are not many other options for us right now to go to and no reasonable round to make, so we're going just back and forth. It's a bit boring, but what can you do. I talk about what happened to the fawn and the blackbird chick I've rescued... They didn't make it unfortunately... :( I am then wondering how is it possible that poppies grow o...

Today I've discussed what went down on Friday and what it will mean for our walks from now on...

Today's video ended very dramatically... Drake caught up to a small fawn and injured it. It's not captured on the video, I made a cut towards the end, also because the camera got knocked down and nothing was visible for the most part. I had to call a rescue station and they took the fawn to a vet... I am devastated and also firmly resolved now that something has to be done to prevent this from ...
