You’ll probably need to service it to figure out the problem.. if it’s stuck in the upward position the cartridge may not be the problem. It’s more probable that it’s the keys. Or the cable may be disconnected… open it up let us know how it goes!

@@SOCALMTBAdventures Today we, took the dropper off the bike to find that the piston assembly was 100% fine. Although, the cable has a 90 degree kink in (next to where it mates to the dropper) it and the hand levers adjustment circle was broken. Looks like the inner metal guide for the hand-lever is broken off right where the assembly can be rotated to adjust the tension. Was able to right the cables kink and manually adjust the cable tension (pliers) before locking the wire retaining screw in place. Thankfully the unit now works fine, saving me $200 plus in parts and shipping fees. We've always had issues with this device from the moment we received it from Giant, yet I'm betting my son or one of his friends dropped the bike onto something, damaging the hand-lever. Otherwise its a great bike, and we'd likely buy another. Side note: It could be possible to use the old cable to pull thru a new one. (or a guide wire) Thus saving others the experience you endured.

@@SOCALMTBAdventures Forgot to mention that we reside in Germany. While there are bike dealers and service agents all over the place, Giant isn't so common here. Thus most all of our maintenance is done by me and my son. Who just recently installed a handlebar extender. (supervised) He's 13 but rides an adult "L" mountain bike and yet needed the extender as his reach (legs / arms) was making it difficult to ride otherwise.

Know exactly that feeling. That’s what this video is about. Lining up the knock block spacers correctly to insure that they are centered before tightening. Thanks again for reaching out. @@SOCALMTBAdventures thanks mate. So they are centered with the Arrow and line. Then when the bars do that thing where they go where they’re not meant to. It gets disalined. With the Arrow and line meeting up. So when I gently tap it back The other way I can align it again all my bolts are tight. I hope that makes sense. So in short it is aligned and still does it and when it does it it disalines.

That sounds about right for when it was tightened incorrectly. I would start all over again.. loosen stem bolts and cap bolt and line everything up before you begin to retighten.

@maxsmoto good luck man.. that’s strange it just started to happen to you randomly.. most of the time it begins when you move things around after adjusting it .. .. shred on brotha. Hope this fixes it 🤘🏻

No, it was on the Ram website. I had approached my local dealership about it and they called me 3 months later telling me several had arrived in their last shipment of vehicles. This van is called the RAM “promaster crew van”

@@joshdan1375 loosen you stem steer tube pinch bolts.. then Tighten your stem cap bolt.. not too much because it can cause your steering to get sticky and heavy feeling. After you’ve tightened, then retighten your stem pinch bolts and don’t forget to align your wheel as you’re tightening .

The keys create the limit .. I don’t think they hit the collar though .

We use GoPro .. we’ve never use phones because they don’t have the same video stabilizing capabilities as action cameras like GoPro, insta 360 or the new DJI. Hope this helps 🤘🏻
