Wo the wood has some bad dark areas. You didn't mention it. Were you a little disappointed and couldn't get the words out. My 40th is the same and I was disappointed.

I got a green 40th anniversary telecaster, on sale last Christmas, under 300. I use it quite a bit for gigs but changed pickups ,tuners, electronics, saddles.

I got the last one my local guitar center had today.i had to get one off the wall.i love it.i got a nice tweed strap to compliment it.
