ATV UTV Trail Riding Ocala National forest FAMILY FUN
Remove the oiler and pre-mix fuel as the very first thing to do when you get a jet ski. Oil injection failure is the #1 killer of jet skis in my opinion.
Your way is so much easier than trying to crank it down with a spanner wrench. I've read that it is a good idea to clean the shock threads 1st and spray some lube on the threads to make it screw down easier. I've lost almost 4 inches of ground clearance from adding front & rear SuperATV bumpers with a 5,000lb. MileMarker winch on each bumper. Now I know why I was bottoming out on drops I didn't before when I was at disney oklahoma this past weekend. I'm going to do this and get my clearance back. I need to get the Hester Elka shocks to make a huge improvement in ride and a lot more shock travel.
Hey man Same issue What you did to get it running I have the same model I’m just able to get to the warning light and that’s it Mine has been sitting for 4 years Pls help I haven’t found much information about the gp1200r
Thanks bro
Yo, thanks for supporting us. Whoever was the first one. Thank you so much.
Yeah, that’s videos rock in and anybody that likes to get off my iPhone
😊 You've a very nice Channel, I support you 👍
Had to be was spinning. Set the rear locker and go in 2wd.
Selling any 1
aren’t you selling this on Facebook?
Yea I ended up selling them. Off to a better home.
I know it's expensive but I tell most people the best 3 mods you can do to a teryx in this order is harnesses most importantly especially with kids aftermarket roll cage the factory cages is an absolute joke I've seen 4 or 5 folded up completely flat one that someone died in and 3 bandit shocks or Hester's elka shocks Hester is the absolute man when it comes to teryxs either one you can call them and tell them what your weights are fully loaded and they will send you customer shocks with the correct spring rate for your application the factory fox shocks are just absolutely terrible that's my biggest pet peeve with the teryx aside from the safety things like I said above but that's all machines the OEM cages are junk and they should all have atleast 4 point harnesses really 5 point honestly harnesses and cages are expensive but you can't buy a life back
Surprised how well Bruce did on his first hook on a tractor. 2nd hook looked great
Yea missed the second unfortunately
Always. Always. ALWAYS take a syringe and prime the oil lines. Since i doubt you premixed the fuel. So yeah for the last time. RIP both engines
Dang. I see them every day coming into my shop. Melted top ends. You should have looked at the nipple length on the rebuild kits diaphragm and the mikuni one for comparison.
Yep RIP both engines
Please dont tell me you bought ebay rebuild kits. God please man.
That spanner wrench is for the front shocks I believe
Did you do 2 1/2" on the front also? Thanks, great shock adjustment tip!!! :)
No just the rears
Sweet deal. Pressure test the entire fuel systems.
Is there a special tool to do this?
@@floridafamily3796 You disconnect the fuel lines. Return and inlet. Get youself a spray bottle filled with a soapy water solution. Plug off the fuel inlet hose, the hose the fuel filter is on. I use a phillips screwdriver..you could use a bolt and clamp. Get an air compressor and turn the pressure WAAAY DOWN using the pressure control knob. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 3 PSI PRESSURE!!! Put the air hose onto the fuel return side and fill that side with air. You spray EVERY part of the fuel system down that has hoses or anyplace air can leak with the soapy water. Look for bubbles. Spray the closed fuel cap, spray all the lines, spray that rubber boot with all the hoses coming out of the fuel tank. Look for bubbles. That is how to test your fuel system for leaks. I did a video on how to repair the fuel sending unit orings and where to buy that large rubber seal if it is cracked. Theses engines can run lean and ruin a cylinder if that fuel system has air leaks.
Great deal. I cant find any without busted engines.
We live on lake harris. Where is the island that you are allowed to park? Also those lakes are filled with gators!!! They dont bother the sandbar?
It’s in the middle of lake Dora between the Tavares side and mount Dora side. You can’t miss all the boats. Also there is so much activity going on there to worry about gators
You have to go through Alabama! Slightly longer trip but well worth missing the traffic!
gretings! bravo!you made cool channel,
Great video. I did this when I got up today and then went on a big ride. What a difference this made. Went about 2.25" up on the rear and 1.50 on the front. I didn't bottom out on the whoopies like normal and my ground clearance went up a lot and I could clear way taller obstacles. A lot more sway in corners at higher speeds but that was expected.
I've been working on two-stroke jet skis for over 20 years and was just trying to throw a few things on these to get them on the water you are going to destroy the motor if not right at first you definitely will destroy it you have to go through these things with a fine-tooth comb and make sure everything is absolutely perfect if you do not so much as a loose gas cap seal will blow your engine up
Do you know what your measurements are? What about your ground clearance? Gonna do mine like this, since my spanner wrench looks sketchy.
To the rear skid is 14in and the front is 15in
I have to clean my room all day🤣well son i would have never finshed🤣
Hi mate were did the hose on th front off the exhaust go to. I can't find we're mine goes
Great video thank you
It's an excellent place to ride been there plenty of times but you better know what the hell you're doing cuz there's some deep s*** up there
Did you ever figure out that beeping? Mine started doing it and it won’t stop
I think my issue is the display is bad. I disconnected the blue wire behind the dash and it stopped
@@floridafamily3796 🙏
Temp sensor
What rear end ratio in your truck?
It’s a 3.55 if your looking at getting one I wouldn’t hesitate to go with the 4.30
Haven't been up there in a while think I'm going to make an appearance soon
Whats this spot called?
This is right outside 3 sisters springs in crystal river
I don’t see how this helps. My brother’s 2021 t4 was set factory to half preload and the suspension is so stiff the only give was in the sidewall of the tire. We took some out and it dropped an inch or so but is slightly less stiff. Either way stock t4 suspension is just trash but on a machine that cheap I guess elkas are an easy upgrade.
I’m increasing the preload on mine because it would constantly bottom out. I always have 4 adults and a large cooler when riding so I stiffened up the preload in the rear to handle the weight better. I also have my valves set at full soft idk if it’s better that way but works fine for what we do. We mostly mud ride. I agree the suspension needs a upgrade
@@floridafamily3796 thanks for the info. we’re in East Tennessee and we have a lot of mountain trails and rock crawling. We are exploring suspension setups to improve the flex and ride capabilities but in the meantime we’ve messed around with stock and it just don’t flex enough no matter the settings. Too bad it has such bad suspension because it is mountain goat LOL.
I’d delete the oil pump on them both and switch to premix. The oil pumps is the most common failure on these skis. Also if they have powervalves you need to put the waveeater clips on the powervalve.
oil feed lines, the pump usually never fails
Where did you get the cage? Need it asap
It’s just a stock cage
It's stock..LOL
Looks like a good time.
Where are you guys riding
It’s north of palatka in fl it’s actually called 10k you can find it on google.
Definitely gonna have to check it out thanks you guys be safe during this storm
Did it work?
The carbs turned out good but once running the ski it ended up having low compression and I am in the process of doing the top end
So compress the spring and run soft on the resiivior will this help with washboard trail
In my experience and I’m no professional it helps if your loaded with 4 adults if you were riding by yourself i don’t think it would.
I ordered a 2in lift kit for mine.... and now I'm actually debating on backing the shock all the way up.or at least on the front... Would that make it ride a little smoother? 🤔 I don't need the ground clearance as much as possibly a little smoother ride now lol... im also thinking about removing the sway bar? I've heard of people doing that as well.
I removed mine it definitely helped with articulation. If you back the shocks all the way out they will likely bottom out more since there is no preload. Just depends on the terrain that you rides
That's true.....
Lil kid in background..I wanna go out and Help right now😂😂😂👊🇺🇸👊
Hello i have just found your channel and i am from North Carolina so glad you guys explored Bryson City North Carolina hopefully your family can return as often as you can Be safe traveling
It was so dry out there compared to Normal great video
Something must be wrong with his defender
I think it’s just a traction thing in the video Teryx has stock bighorns and defender has cryptids on loose dirt. Asphalt would probably be a different story.
I own a defender and a Teryx defenders way faster
Jbs clutch?
No it’s stock
Are there gators in the lake?
Oh yea. You can pretty much guarantee they are in every body of water in Florida.
I have a 2020 Teryx 4, and did you do the fuel vent mod?
Yea I did mine a little different and just ran it up to where the air intake is
