Damn near brings me to tears every time. It's so goddamn hype. 10 million times better then whatever the hell was present in the film. Some generic orchestra sh*t probably. The way its synched up, when it says fly like an Eagle, strike like a hawk and he starts falling after the jump. Like, it's just so good man. Literally levels up the entire moment. What a video 10/10

I believe why the audeince can accept Speed just blowing through everyone js the damage to the car and the massive risks he's taking. One wrong minor movement from anyone on the field would lead to another wreck These cars probably cost the equivalent of 10s of millions of dollars, so you're not going to "push it" to collapse as it xould mean the end of your racing career But this Speed going all in with no care.

I love Giaccino's score, but this song fits so well, though. The lyric "they all said i'd best give it up/what a fool to believe their lies" straight up expresses part of the plot and Speed's character arc. Also, "I can fly like an eagle, strike like a hawk," as the Mach 6 leaps above the others is freaking beautiful.

I do love how this is the perfect distillation of not just all the Eurobeat memes, but also the "Speed Race is a Sociopath" memes. Dude's wrecking the shit out of everyone in his way, and only the foam-ball safety mechanism prevents at least two deaths in his rampage.

As someone who never saw Speed Racer, I love how the combo of the animation, the editing, and the eurobeat just looks like what daydreaming is inside a brain. Flashing, almost an otherworldly unpolished blur with other ideas being mixed in, all while liestining to that one song making this mental animatic happen

I think the main problem with scene was that the actor never reacted to the speed of movements properly

The Wachowski sisters are visionaries and I was too young and naïve to see it

Eurobeat makes everything better

I’m so freaking happy about this movie being recognized as with the time It’s a beautiful work of art on how it did everything Scott Pilgrim and Spiderverse did later Took anime and literally brought it to life as it was Exaggerated, animated with a lot of fantasy and expressions And all the things that made anime what it was This comes to show how sometimes it’s not about the quality of a product But also the time it gets released At that moment serious and “realistic” takes on fantasy heroes were the trending And Speedracer went against all of that making a truly unique film at his time And I’m glad I saw this as kid

Man this movie may have a weird sense of humor, may cause epileptic attacks and have poor CGI but this part of him remembering everything his brother said, his father and all while driving at max speed is really emotional, I fuckin love it

This is the exact case when there is a very good scene and "there is nothing to make it better" and well... eurobeat happens to make it better!!
