Greenhouse project of Poly-Tex Field Pro High Tunnel
Think I am finally getting toward the end of construction! Automated roll-up sides finished along with gable vents. I am trying very hard not to use powered ventilation. My other greenhouse uses fans to ventilate, and I am trying to keep electric costs down.

Greenhouse Roof Vibrator

I installed an industrial vibrator on my two layer poly roof pit greenhouse. Condensation is a problem, and this should also remove a dry snow. It is set up where I can control it with my phone or Alexa.
Lookin good
I’m looking at similar ones for my property in zone 5, curious if figs will survive winter without heat.
I grew figs last year and overwintered them in my basement, all survived. This year I plan to overwinter in the greenhouse covered. I am zone 4. We grow in pots and not direct in the ground. My wife and I are retired, so with the new greenhouse I am hoping to reduce the bending to the ground.
@@robertboeckman yea, i have a few figs in pots now i bring inside for winter. We just purchased 60 acres and are currently working with a forester to clear some space to build a house/barn/greenhouses to start a little family farm. We had been planning to do this for awhile but always had our minds on zone 7. We've had to adapt some of our plans now that we actually own land. We're hoping by the time our kids(5/9) go to college we can move to the farm full time. It'll be about an hour commute to work from there but i feel like it's worth it for the open space and peaceful atmosphere.
@@christopherhughes7970 Our other greenhouse is very energy friendly, just small at 10 by 40. That one I can afford to heat most of the year. I usually shut it down in January and half of February. I am looking at some options for the cold months. Like a blanket covering the roof at night. Some of the concrete blankets might work, but I need to investigate some more. If you are out there with machinery, you might think about something like that to get you through the winter.
hi, i was shocked ..!!! awesome!!!
Is that it attached to the board up there..?
