What a great hero ship. The brute force landing with the Mach diamonds is so pretty. I want to see an animation of the Guin landing.

1:44 this is an example of the common design flaws to due the CDFs more archaic ship design. That boxy structure houses both the fore and stern chaser sponson Bodkin lock guns, when it’d probably be much easier and simpler to mount a twin bodkin lock turret in the space that structure takes up which could turn fore and aft. If the turret has enough elevation it could even aim upwards to fire to the broadside. Perhaps that could be a potential refit opportunity? Slice off that boxy housing and mount a twin bodkin lock turret in its place.

Swiveling the maneuverer rockets adds no more manoeuvrability. If it is not using aerodynamics to land then landing on its belly is no easier than landing on its tail and the main engine, so the reasons given for the deck orientation don't make sense.

I really love how so much of the sojourn builds tension without direct conflict. The obvious way to make drama and tension would be to focus on the Advari as the main problem through the whole story, but doing it this way is so much more of a nuanced approach

Fair Winds!! this is a great series

Someone had mentioned this a while back in a comment but it took me some time to really sink in. The music. Oh, the music. It is such a perfect fit for the tone of the universe. It manages to be so classically maritime, so fundamentally epic and at the same time wondrous and dreamlike.
