Very interesting point!

Yup, they completely forgot everything lol!!!

The fundamental phenomenon of dilation explains dark matter. Mass that is dilated is smeared through spacetime relative to an outside observer. It's the phenomenon our high school teachers were talking about when they said "mass becomes infinite at the speed of light". A graph illustrates its squared nature, it increases at an exponential rate the closer you get to the speed of light. Time dilation is just one aspect of dilation. Dilation will occur wherever there is an astronomical quantity of mass. This includes the centers of very high mass stars and the overwhelming majority of galaxy centers. The mass at the center of our own galaxy is dilated. This means that there is no valid XYZ coordinate we can attribute to it, you can't point your finger at something that is smeared through spacetime. In other words that mass is all around us. The "missing mass" needed to explain galaxy rotation curves is dilated mass. Dilation does not occur in galaxies with low mass centers because they do not have enough mass to achieve relativistic velocities. It has been confirmed in 6 very low mass galaxies including NGC 1052-DF2 and DF4 to have no dark matter. In other words they have normal rotation rates. All binary stars have normal rotation rates for the same reason.
UCSD has been doing some successfully surgeries using the Vision Pro
Man one reason I want to get a job so bad is to buy the Vision Pro!
Yeah man, its a really cool product. I can understand where you are coming from - there is something that everybody wishes he or she could get if they had a job. Maybe Apple will introduce some discounts if the remaining units cannot sell? I would think that its best for them to do a version of the Vision Pro that is sub $2,000
@@peterigas2494 yea that’s be a good idea Bro. That’d be nice!
Yeah, if they could streamline parts of the Vision Pro manufacturing line for a cheaper lense, then that could probably make a sizable price difference. I would think that the lense costs the most out of the whole thing? It is still made out of plastic lol, but connecting it with all of the other pieces of the Vision Pro is probably complicated.
I worked hard at my last place and they still jacked me. It’s become more about managers favoring you than hard work.
Yeah bro, I completely agree. I worked hard as well, but there was a significant change in management when someone who brought me in and was my first boss left. As I have expressed in other videos, it is really best if something like that happens for someone to just leave the organization altogether, because the new boss may not have the same rapport in supervising the employee. This definitely happened with me, and when I got another job as an Engineer for a few months it did not last long because it was completely Remote, online. There have been many people laid off from the same position in that job as well - it's like jobs don't want someone to think for himself, or for herself. There is **nothing** wrong with pursuinig passion projects and learning about other things on the side.
I guess it work just enough and play the workplace politics game to not get laid off
Absolutely. There can still be a chance to get laid off though, even if someone does play those politics to a very large extent, which can show how disingenuous much of the corporate environment in America is. It's disappointing.

A lot of people outside the industry don't understand that a 400k salary at Meta is 50 - 70 percent stock comp that you have to wait years to sell. Its not 400k of cash. So take the 140ish they are making in cash compensation and reduce taxes, that comes out to be 110k. Not a lot in LA
110K after tax is still more than what 85-90% of LA earns after tax.
Hey, I can understand where you are coming from, but just because a $400K salary at Meta COULD consist of 50-70% stock based compensation does not mean that it is true for 100% of the employees in more senior positions at any company. Obviously, given the current economic circumstances, I would find it very difficult to hear about which employees would NOT want to take cash on hand right now. I would have to agree with the first reply to your comment that claiming that $110K is nothing in LA is not true. You need at least around $80K or so to live comfortably in CA (I would know because I hear news about the rising costs of living here). As I mentioned in the video, there are a lot of great apartments/units, with even more opening up, around the $2K range. Even living modestly in that type of circumstance, with maybe several thousand throughout the year for leisure activities STILL gives room to save up, which could be enough even if the employee were to take 50-70% stock based compensation.
@@peterigas2494 Its not "could" it is. When I graduated from grad school in 2022 I received an offer from Meta, the comp was about 65% stock. This is the industry standard for public companies, backed up with offers I know about from my peers. The more senior you get in FANG companies the more comp you make through STOCK, salary doesn't go up that much. Nobody has a choice in comp, they offer it and you either take it or you don't. You don't have the opportunity to say "just give me all cash please". Doesn't work that way
Hey, I know you probably stop following DNA, but I still follow it. Been increasing my stock numbers by selling when it jumps +30% and buying back when it drops -20%. Just sold @ $9.30. Would like to buy back in the vicinity of $7.50. I want to know what you think? Does it look realistic?
Hey man, yeah I still tweet about it quite consistently but I feel that my previous videos probably already covered most of what I think about Ginkgo for now. I know that they have been trying to keep the stock up with the LLM that they deployed with the Google Cloud API, but to me it is obviously something trendy that they are trying to chase to make things look more optimistic in the short term while they continue building up the new Biofab1 facility. I do think that the stock could go back down to around $7.50. Whether there would be a decrease from the current price to that target would depend on whether Ginkgo can onboard several new clients to make use of the LLM over the Google Cloud API. Rather than that, as I also mentioned on X/Twitter I don't think that their Biosecurity department will have as much to discuss in the next upcoming quarterly update.
@@peterigas2494 Thanks Pete, I learn new things with you. Didn't know about Biofab1. Gonna keep an eye on the potential new costumers and Q3 earnings ( or lack of it ) It looks like I have a few more days until earnings.
Hey man, no problem. I learned more about Biofab1 because Gingko has been heavily advertising it since a year or two ago. However, in my opinion, I don't think that there is much that could be brought out of Biofab1, because even as a larger scale, next generation, Foundry, Ginkgo will still have trouble generating revenue to reach adjusted EBIDTA.
Hey Pete. Speaking Truth Broda. To add to what you're saying is the fact that while analysts are down playing the chance of a recession for 2025, big players are preparing for one. Warren Buffett who's investing strat is to buy and hold for ever, has record sold this year in preparation for what's gonna happen. He has sold even his #1 best cash cow Apple stock. Jeff Bezos, for no apparent reason, has sold this year more of Amazon stocks than any other time on record. I could continue with many more examples but don't want to bogle you with something you already know.
Hey man, yeah I feel that there are still several analysts which are echoing our concerns, but probably within all of the analysts discussing such aspects of the economy, the majority could still be thought of as trying to downplay things. It's crazy, if Buffet and Bezos are selling securities at this rate, what do they expect could happen? Perhaps they don't want to get rid of absolutely everything, or close to it, because such actions could raise concern.
You should get more views
Thank you man. I have indeed been noticing that some of the topics that I typically discuss are getting more views, but given that I probably discuss what most people don't, it is still taking some time.
I cant remember where I saw it but there was a job posting for some STEM position here in the states and a bunch of overseas (i.e. india) applicants applied within 1-2hrs. Im guessing there are whole bot farms dedicated to spam applying to jobs. Its still a mystery to my as to why companies expect to get unicorns in this labor market??
Hey, yeah I have a colleague who works for Amgen who has referred to me a few roles there. He even says that their HR easily gets 450 applicants for any given position within a few days. Unfortunately, I feel that with all of the expectations that companies are putting into the hiring process, that many people just don't want to try as much anymore. Moreover, it's a joke how companies expect us to always wait around to hear back several weeks later, if we end up receiving ANY news.
fraud is the easiest way to get fired. If you lie about $25 meal reimbursement, you likely have other unethical behavior. Why would someone who makes $400k, not be held to the same, if not higher standard, than those making $50k. Sounds like a bad $400k employee.
Agreed, if the employee is perhaps not being as honest as he or she could be, then that dishonesty could impact other responsibilities rather than having to cash in lunch money everyday.
Bro the number of interviews is nuts
Yeah man, completely nuts. It's crazy.
4 rejections already today Bro! Let’s see man! Hopefully after the election there will be an uptick in the hiring. Maybe a lot of companies are uncertain, I think the US dollar is going through a bit of certainty with the rise of BRICS and them buying a whole lot of gold. Hopefully after the election 🗳️. It’s strange because I have a friend who works for a major defense company and they are laying people off, despite the multi-front wars that are arising. Also aren’t all the Boomers supposed to be retiring? Where’s the massive hiring that is expected from that? Sure, AI is cutting into that but it can’t be that much
Yeah man, I have even seen online how individuals who WOULD retire, or at least want to get out of the workforce for retiring, are being forced to work again. However, on top of this possibility for only the individuals within the US population that would be eligible to retire, or who would want to retire, there does indeed appear to be little potential for us ever being able to retire. Personally, I don't really mind working all of the time to try to learn things, but it's not a "one size fits all" situation. That's crazy with the defense companies having to do layoffs. I read an article on how geopolitics are advancing in the world, and it cited the fact that the United States military is now in the process, if I remember correctly, of replacing ships and other fundamental equipment for the future. I too would think that defense companies, also for these types of reasons, would not look to layoff. Many of them receive significant government funding.
@@peterigas2494 yea Bro it’s nuts.
@@peterigas2494 hope your day was good Bro. I got a total of 6 rejections today! But I did take a good nap man. That’s the one positive thing about all this, when I take that mid-day nap and wake up, it feels pretty good. Let’s see Bro. Enjoy the evening!
Thank you - hope that you can still get through this. Honestly, I have had so many rejections from the type of situation that you are in that I don't care to try as much anymore. As a third year physics bachelor student who really got fascinated by quantum computing and tries to get into this industry I am looking at the tendancy of corporations which are changing there plans and am really unsure whether I should still pursue this or look at different fields. Given your expertise, which fields in physics would you recommend to look into when you like quantum computing but do not want to run into the problem of experiencing a complete industry 180 when you are done with your PhD. I would really appreciate any ideas :)
Personally I'm only a MSc student but I do research in this field. With physics there are no "safe-paths", that road you left when you decided against engineering fields post HS but you can try to make yourself more employable still. In China most people who do PhDs in physics do it to find a job and usually end up doing it in Condensed Matter Physics or Computational Physics (think numerical solutions to hard PDEs and the like). These fields especially the latter have a relatively easy time finding employment and good wages post PhD but nothing is guaranteed. I personally chose to specialize in Q.Info because I find it fascinating and it has a good mix of opportunities in academia and fosters general skills that can be good in Industry too but as he says it's definitely not a sure fire path. Quantum Computing probably isn't doomed, researchers in the field knew for years it was over-hyped, but there is still progress and breakthroughs in QEC are finally showing through. Just don't please don't expect a cushy 6 fig QC job awaits you post grad
@@tretolien1195Thank you very much for your extensive response! I know with physics one has to be a little flexible/creative with future carreers.
Hey, I can understand and sympathize with where your question is coming from. Namely, if one person were to study Physics, or Math, which are very difficult subjects, what would be the individual's prospects after graduation? Even thought I didn't end up going through with the Physics major at Cornell where I went for my Bachelors and Masters, I did research in the Applied Physics department there in my Masters which absolutely had a significant impact on my mathematical output, and preprints, on the arXiv. I would say that the question that you have raised is difficult for ANYONE to answer, not only because we do not know exactly which areas of Physics will continue to remain of interest in the Academic and Industrial communities, but also because there are so many areas of Physics, and Mathematics, to choose from. I would say though, that Quantum Computing, and more Theoretical areas of Physics, ie String Theory, Cosmology, etc, appear to be under a lot of pressure. For instance, in Quantum Computing there is a lot of uncertainty with regards to whether new applications will be found in "noisy intermediate scale" device, whereas in String Theory and Cosmology, there is a lot of discussion as to whether Dark Matter even exists. This appears to be very alarming for anybody who did a PhD in the field, because Dark Matter, and Dark Energy, were talked about for years. I would say though, that while other areas like Biological Physics appear to be more "down to earth," that even these fields are experiencing mass layoffs, or abrupt changes in commercialization, too. I hope that this helps - maybe try to do a little of a few fields to see which you feel the most comfortable with in terms of getting a job.
@@peterigas2494thank you also very much for you thoughts and sympathy haha Currently my strategy is to learn also more about broader topics like statistical physics which I can utilize in different fields.

@@peterigas2494 string theorists running around "street walking" their "expertise " from one gig to another. Streetwalkers at least have an excuse. What's string theorists' excuse?
Unfortunately, to your point, I don't know if they would have any excuse. There were so many people, who despite being very talented, went all in on String Theory and now they don't have much of a career at all, if any. Even Einstein couldn't pursue the grand unified theory that he wanted, and undoubtedly, perhaps it will easily continue to remain an unresolved theoretical problem for more time.
It's just an excuse to fire the deadwood
Rofl Bro hilarious. You know all that are facts.
This comment will be from a place of ignorance, so I apologize in advance. I agree with your characterization of both these technologies, but I don't fully understand the point of the argument. From my perspective, investment in both these technologies is largely speculative. Are people really expecting QC to revolutionize compute in the next 5-10 years? I think the outlook is longer, 20-50 maybe even a century. The opportunity cost of not investing is just too large, so companies are willing to burn millions, even billions when they're convinced they'll have first movers advantage. The point of recession is fair, medium-long term, investment in these sectors will be very unlikely to stop the wave of economic pain coming. Which opens the question more towards economic policy, and an examination into the last 100 years of economic and societal development. Hopefully I've understood, but I'm very open to being corrected :3
Hey, I would say that you understood many of the points that I was trying to make when starting out the conversation. What I am primarily meaning by the argument is that, despite technical differences in how quantum, or biological, systems are likely to perform, each field has quite poor commercial prospects. I was talking about Ginkgo, which is one example from the Biotech sector, and Q-CTRL, a Quantum Computing startup that I have interviewed with. Neither one of these companies, in addition to the broader niches of the Tech sector that they are in, have not reached profitability.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?

Do you work in quantum computing?
Hey, I do not work in industry in Quantum Computing, but my academic experience in Quantum Computing has landed me a few interviews foir those types of positions. I am quite familiar, even from some other videos on my channel, on using Python and open-source packages from Google Quantum AI, for quantum simulation & time evolution.
I love your perspective. As someone who prematurely accepted defeat and refused the 9-5 life, im living vicariously through videos like these. Also im rooting for you!
Thank you man. It really means a lot to hear from people who ACTUALLY want to give my perspectives a little time out of every day.
Guess we will see if the haircut results in interviews
Yes. It probably won't end up making any difference, otherwise everybody would get haircuts to become employed lol
I have no clue how it will change anything as no one adds pictures to their resume. That being said, if you do end up doing the experiment, may I suggest you add the following bullet point to your resume : "-Led end to end sociology research through performing A/B testing on the effect of follicle length on economic transactions in the labor market, resulting in 1 publication in a peer reviewed platform (on youtube). Designed an online survey system, performed Bayesian inference (prior being hair length has no effect), and disseminated results to a broad audience." 😂
