if you're talking about paidra and ko'aki then he used the effect of afd to get out the ko'aki, it allows for a second summon

So looking back my opponent did say normal summon when bringing out the ko'aki, but it doesn't matter because as you said he could've brought it out with the ancient fairy dragon as well.

also if you're referring to his branded fusion he didn't have any albaz in deck. he runs 2 and one was on field with other in gy. BF reads that using materials from hand, deck, OR field, meaning you can't mix the material locations, has to be 1 of 3

Usually, with the number of starters and extenders in the deck, I've usually been pretty good with the other 4 cards in hand. Summoning beast definitely increases the ceiling of the deck. I personally just prefer limiting the amount of bricks.

I like it in the pure build as an extra body for link climbing and also being able out certain cards that cripple my deck.

​@@KtulusRealm he play dark ruler. Then foolish -> saronir->retribution, then shrouded -> branded fusion, activate retribution take fusion in hand. The impurm is still a thing, but not a big deal. You cant lose from a single negate with branded

@@jasoneffler9903 In all honesty if Yubel is gonna get hit its gonna be the gates/beckoning beast package. Phantom is too new and everything is bricks or too slow (samsara).

@@KtulusRealm I’m not saying he is bad but a lot of what makes tenpai shake its the battle phase. Like when he had the impermed Paidra, the fadra and genroku on field. You had two eff veilers so you had a way to out the fadra. What he could have done was attempt to go battle with those three on field and if you use the eff veiler that is okay. If he attempted to go battle again and you used the eff veiler on genroku he could tag out and go battle. Now he can start attacking with all the monsters and synchro with what he summoned off of genroku. And if he summoned another fadra, he could’ve gotten to Tundra and gotten back genroku and that would’ve been different. Your yubel play was nothing to sneeze at. He just seemed to be new to the deck or just picking it up.

It's possible, it'll just be the field spell to 1 which is not terrible since it's searchable and you have room for non engine to help search for it such as terraforming and set rotation.
