I have searched RUclips for covers of this Journey claasic and, most of the time, I am underwhelmed by most of those covers. Even the covers where the singer has a good range, feel so lifeless. This rendition was just superb, and really captures the emotional power of the original song. The vocalization and piano playing were excellent. Its hard to believe, as of me writing this, that it has been 10 years since you published this and I am just finding out about it now. Sometimes you have to be thankful to the RUclips algorithm for occasional presenting you with these musical treasures!

I've often wondered about singers with powerful voices like Amy and thought, "What is their secret?" I'm not a singer, but I used to do some acting, storytelling and public speaking and sometimes, my voice would get tired. I believed (incorrectly, it seems) that some people were just blessed with extra strong vocal chords and I was not one of them. So, I empathize with you and hope you have a full recovery. In the meantime, don't blame yourself. No one can see what the future holds. It is difficult for all of us to know when to push and when to to take it a little easy. It takes time and attention. So, please don't be hard on yourself. You are a great talent and seem to be a really thoughtful person.
