Filmed both ways through Totnes, hauled by double-headed BR class 37s. 37518 was completed 8-10-1962 by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn and originally numbered D6776. 37668 was completed 12-1-65 at Vulcan Works and originally numbered D6957.

really enjoy your frosty, foggy morning videos. There is an amateur weather station at Dartington and the temperature fell to 0.5c overnight. One of the coldest spots in UK.

Yes, Kingswear Castle still come up as far as here (Steamer Quay) in Totnes.

Well that was a spirited departure from Totnes on the return, Phil. Seems strange place to stop for water with the climb to Dainton ahead. Keith.
Duchess of Sutherland stopped at Totnes for water on the same trip last year too. She was a little less sure footed lifting off from Totnes.
