The ocean does not belong to any specific group of people. The same at Cape point ledges there are people that think they own the place. As long as you have a permit you can fish in any legal spot. It is you right to do so.

It's DISGUSTING to think how "greed and selfishness" can get the better of certain individuals. Nature is there for us ALL, yes EVERYONE to enjoy! God created the Earth for every human. It's bad enough there is such a lot of ridiculous bylaws regarding recreational fishermen, then you have a pocket of individuals that is pathetic enough to act like spoilt brats. One goes out to fish to enjoy oneself, not to be pushed around by "BULLIES". Michael and Aden you guys are doing an exceptional job, don't stop with what you are doing. Your videos and trips are very informative and I love watching it. Keep going and don't give up guys.

The locals from outside are plain haters.All round they get tikkoppe to break in our cars or rob our people from the Cape because they are plain harseer.Please repost as i never saw the video and would kindly help you guys and we can go back so show them you back.

I'm just gonna say ,to come with cameras ,social media etc to a fishing /surfing/ outdoor spot is abit in your face considering that the type of people going to those far out spots are trying to fish with a very different vibe compared to say going to fish at Macassar. they dont have a problem for anybody to fish there, everyone has a right to go ANYWHERE in RSA. just everyone needs to be respectful of the environment ie no litter, loud music etc, there's limited space if, i think its the spot you talking about . when you just pitch up you have to be figure out how the system works there, you cant just throw where you want you gonna have some very angry people very quickly! its got NOTHING to do with race etc its just you've got in the way of somebody else without even realizing what happened so now you think he's got it in for you. don't worry happens to all of us, took me fukin years to get so much as a "hello" on the path up from there. If you want to fish there by all means go put the time in, itll pay off but dont bring cameras etc down there, people go there to fish and clear their minds. the road outside your house is public property and i could stand there and film your house all day/night long and there's nothing you would be able to do either, you'd eventually loose your sh*t and come demand some answers from me too right? just cause its a right doesn't always mean its cool to do. i don't even fish there anymore, got too crowded , moved onto other little spots and got a boat :) good luck!

Hi brother. This video came accross my feed. Im a local in Pringle bay and fish this whole area. The only place that could have been a issue is where you entered private property next to kliphuis. You can fish anywhere. Sorry about threats from locals here...actually hard to believe cause we are a friendly community. Keep it up. Just subsribed!

I just saw that video this morning and I was super excited to see u guys at Betties and not on a boat at Cape point. Point is u are allowed to fish where ever you want to. These guys are selfish. I think I got a really good idea of who it might be because they make it clear on their channel not to name that specific spot. No one give them attitude when they make a video of Maccasar, I gonna somer camp at Betties for a week to fishing, don't feel bad they feel like proper fool now

That is complete BS! Luckily for them you two are respectful guys. I had the same thing happen to me in Rietfontein. The guy came up to me and harassed me to not record us catching fish. I still posted it, but out of respect I excluded some videos of other fish we got there.

I know exactly who those guys are. I've seen this crap happening at Cape point for years. Having fished Rooikranz and similar yellowtail spots you will find a few idiots believing they some how own the places and refuse to share with anyone. Everyone knows about these spots and clearly most people are not willing to go to cape point so I really don't know why those guys remain so paranoid. Anyway keep up the good work.

Do you perhaps know if boat buoyancy has an expiration date? If so how long is it. Been tryna find out on SAMSA but I see nothing. Some people saying 5 years but I'm really not sure now.

The only place that is prohibeted is which is barcaded and or fenced in or is declared as prohibited area by the Govt and proclaimed as such. For example Nature reserwes etc.A public place is a public place. What happens if a visitor stumbled as a holiday maker on this place, he or she cannot be prohibited and making a video is free for all. The only thing you may not do on the shaw line in fly a drone in assistance of your fishing activity. Something of a different nature is the releasing your fish. I have been an angler for 66 yrs. Releasing sizeable fish is ludicrous. STOP FOLLOEING THE WHITE WHITE MANS IDEAS. He is fooling you guys because he does not show what he keeps. So if you guys have fish, freeze till you have sufficient and give it to an old age home or feed the poor. Stop latching onto shit ideas. GOD provides the sea with an abundant of fish and crustaceans. So feed the poor instead

In my personal opinion, neither you nor Aiden did anything wrong. You paid to fish, you have the necessary licenses, and you only took mussels to eat, not even the maximum allowed, which is perfectly acceptable. Additionally, the gates being locked means the place is being looked after, and you and Aiden have never misused the situation. The area is open to the public. It's unfortunate when people act like everything belongs to them, as if that spot is theirs alone. We all pay our taxes and fees, and everyone has the right to access and enjoy public spaces

Nobody wants a single spot to themselves they just dont want it broadcast on social media. Nobody chased you away from there, so stop trying to play the victim.
