Good discussion! Once it took 5hrs, 50KM and 3 locations to get my Tata Nexon EV charged...2 locations have Tata Power infra but charging does not start... It just says vehicle rejected; surprisingly at 3rd location, one connector refused and luckily another connector charged!! This was struggle in the night at 00 hrs (7 pm to mid night)
Fantastic -csp
Hi! Rathish, I was just scrolling through my youtube and came across this episode, And I would say in one episode if you wanna capture about the education system, the model, doing good in public system, the values like taking pride in what you are engaged with, reason for girls less participation/continuation in stem and how to maximize this number meaningfully was captured brilliantly, I just enjoyed flowing through the whole conversation, and as the conversation progressed, it was giving the clear sense of understanding that we know it, we know the problem and we do have customised solutions for all in small pockets. Also, I enjoyed it because the topic is so close to me... I have worked within the government Education system with government stakeholders in multiple roles. Due to Avanti I got the opportunity to work closely with Himachal and Uttrakhand govt, The education secretary of HP is just a real gem of a person, I have shared the episode with him and I am quite hopeful that he will go through it, But I also wanted to share it with other government stakeholders, they are not as passionate as the edu. sec. but they do have intent to do good and can do if the continuous right amount of impetus is given, Thinking if this episode can be divided into 3sub episode, just to enhance it shareability, as the content is amazing and one should go through all: a. India public education system and the supplement models to add value to it b. Key factors to make the system more qualitative and efficient- like taking pride in what you do, where you do, with whom you do etc. with the examples as it was beautifully shared by Akshay through giving example of JNV team members. c. Girls in stem, the stereotype, breaking of stereotype, hopeful events where Vandana quite clearly nicely or rather I will say proudly shared about girls in IIT, exposure of our other girls with these girls, the mentorship chapter kind of. Sharing of sub episode will be easier with people who are at the border, they want to be in the system and bring change but need continuous push, And I know that they are the one who act as a connecting wire between the department level decision makers and the one who execute at the ground level towards maximizing its reach to the end beneficiary, our students...
❤
I humbly suggest that the Govt of India and all the State Govts need to seriously focus and extend support to social innovators community who truly reach out to the poorest of the poor section and transform their lives for the betterment.
excellent insights, the development sector indeed needs risk capital on its own term. I also liked the part where Manoj said: Who is doing R&D for the poorest of poor? For a rural woman, for a farmer. for all those who are facing climate change impacts and this will only escalate in the near future.
A very insightful conversation. one key issue i would like to mention here , that i think should be decoded about where education belongs "State List " or "concurrent list". Regards
so good. respect.
Thank you for the conversion, great insights.
Great Conversation 👍
A very good talk on social innovatin.
Bro Bolt.earth chargers also starts automatically after power is back.
A very well curated episode. Thanks Rathish and Prachi.
Exponent energy need to scale rapidly.
We look forward to going this route at Unnati. We are ready, proof of concept for over 5 years. The infra in every way is in place to scale. We have already scaled to 1 lakh youth during 23-24. We are looking at 1.8 lakh for final year youth in Govt colleges for 200 hours of in person training (100 hours) and blended learning at a cost of Rs.1500/- per youth. We are in 12 States with a clear impact of 30% into jobs including self-employment and over 40% into higher education. We do hope we can get a chance to work in this special space.
Excellent. very good listen, this can really impact micro/medium enterprises & help in employment at the grassroots.
Always informative to listen to @Prachi mam. This is a very well-curated podcast on blended finance and everything that surrounds it.
