This was a ride through Kentucky's Daniel Boone Forest - October 2023. Starting just south of Irvine traveling Hwy 89 to McKee, and then Hwy 290 from McKee to Annville. It was a beautiful and relaxing ride with the Fall colors on full display. Final stop for the night was the KOA in Corbin, KY. Riding a 2022 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. Motorcycle ride Leaving Key West

Leaving Key West on my Harley Davidson Street Glide. A little windy and a little rainy. Those bridges are interesting with a North wind. Still was not a bad ride. Stopped raining in Key Largo and beautiful the rest of the way. Made it to Lake City that day.

Highway 25E from I-81 to the Cumberland Gap Tunnel. If you travel from the north to the Smoky Mountains/Pigeon Forge area, this is a really nice alternative to I-75. Long sweeping curves through the mountains, 4 lanes, and 65mph.

2018 Heritage with V&H Eliminators Drive by. Without Quite Baffles and then with Quiet Baffles. Also see ruclips.net/video/r3Xv64jfwIo/видео.html for stock and Street Cannons.

Nice editing work! This was an amazing weekend.
Man…great ride/video….from Tampa…we ain’t got no roads like this in Florida..I’m from E TN.
I’ve got the V&H Slashcuts with quiet baffles.
SE StreetCannons are just a little louder than stock.
That was a beautiful fall day. Fantastic ride!
Great video! I had the Eliminator 300s on my 2020 Low Rider S and thought they were a little too loud, I put the Street Cannon on my 2021 Sport Glide and liked it (2 into 1) but wish it had a little more sound. I just bought a 2023 Heritage and am trying to decide what to put on it. I want to be able to hear the exhaust at highway speed, but don't want droning noise for long trips. Were you happy with the street cannons for touring?
The Street Cannons are perfect for Touring. In fact, that's what I had on the bike before I bought my Street Glide. I did a few trips to Florida and Sturgis with the Heritage/Street Cannons. After adding the Street Glide I bought the Eliminators for the Heritage to get more sound for the shorter rides. Congratulations on your 2023 Heritage. You'll love it.
Can you hear them better at highway speed than stock? I did 300 miles this weekend and the stock exhaust sounded like engine ticking and it was driving me nuts! lol@@kenny553
Exceptional work 👌! Your video was a true masterpiece, thank you for sharing your talent with the world.
lol
Very poor mic
very nice, I have the same bike only different colour also the same Vance and Hines. But what type of saddle is that ? it looks great and comfortable. is there a lot of difference with the stock seat (which I still have)
That's the H-D Tallboy. That stock seat did not work for me at all. I'm taller and it killed my tail bone. The Tallboy is a decent seat.
Relaxing video Kenny, thanks! I've never been on a long trip, but I am starting to get the urge. I'll need a "bigger boat" as the saying goes.... ;)
I think that if i guy could wait till the 2 year or 24mo.warranty is over and then spend the money on a full header/ exhaust with a aftermarket tuner would be best ...
Good comparison. Got some Eliminator 300 on the way, an ebay buy. Worried they maybe too loud but from what I hear and people say the quiet baffles make marginal difference. So what did you go with? Thanks
I use the eliminators and removed the baffles. I no longer tour with the Heritage so I took the baffles out to get the nice loud/deep rumble. I had the street cannons for about a year and then changed to the eliminators. I thought the street cannons were nice, especially for longer rides but love the sound of the eliminators.
@@kenny553 thanks for that. Eliminators do seem to very positive reviews.
Thanks for the video, I love watching 18 - 21 Heritage. I love that bike. How did the fangs work out?
Thanks for watching. The fangs are nice. Lot's of buffeting without them.
Nice
Why do the eliminator 300s backfire over 2k rpm's?
I did indeed have some backfiring on the eliminators after I removed the baffles. After making this video I re-tuned using the SE tuner and rarely get the backfire now. Initially, I loaded the base stage 1 map and that worked fine for the Street Cannons.
Very good comparison. I’m going with the low rumble of the Vance & Hines Eliminator 300’s without the quiet baffles. Great sound.
Great video. Sorry you had to deal with RV’s and trailers. Nothing makes a motorcycle journey less enjoyable.
Thanks for the watching. Riding with the RV's wasn't bad. Actually only day 2 was the motorcycle and RV caravan. The Heritage is an awesome bike and it did well riding out and back, but I've added a Street Glide now and I would choose the SG any day for long trips.
@@kenny553 yeah that’s why I went with the RG. 22k in 2020 based out of Chicago. Another at least 15k this year just in trips we’ve already booked. I know miles don’t make you cool but that was my justification to go RG instead of the Heritage. But I can’t get over the traditional style and effortless handling on the Heritage. Yours is in the nicest color as well.
I enjoyed all 3 parts, Kickass tunes
Thank you. The ride out and back was amazing. I would do it again for sure!
I rode to Sturgis last year here is one of my videos of my trip ruclips.net/video/jpObo-kalXE/видео.html
Great vid thanks for the info 👍🍺
I have a 19 Deluxe with the 107. After listening to your video I decided to go with Vance & Hines 300s as well. But I decided to have them do the Stage 2 Torque Cam at the same time. My pipes roar obnoxiously so I have ordered the quiet baffles. If that doesn't work I'm considering the Street Cannons because I get the impression they are not much louder volume wise than the stock mufflers. Would that be correct?
The Street Cannons are just a little louder/deeper than stock. When I first installed the Eliminators I thought they were too loud. So I ordered the baffles. Since then I have removed the baffles. Seems there is an adjustment period. I also no longer take the Heritage on long trips where a loud exhaust may add fatigue. Now, I really like them without the baffles.
@@kenny553 Thanks for the information
Are the street Cannons much different from the stock. I have this same bike. But it is hard for me to tell on streaming. I want to make my bike louder mainly just to be heard in traffic. thank you
The street cannons are just a little deeper not not much louder. The V&H are much louder and deeper but not obnoxiously loud imo.
What brand are you fork mounted wind deflectors?
They are the H-D deflectors for the 2017 Heritage. You just need to drill an extra hole. Make it oblong to give you some room for adjustment so the fangs don't hit the engine guard. They do a great job eliminating buffeting.
kenny55 thank you, I appreciate your help
Thanks for this...it was helpful. Like the eliminators without the baffles nice deep rumble!👍
VH Eliminators does it for me.
Hi, Can you tell me about those lower wind deflectors.. Thanks..
They are the ones for the earlier model Heritage (2017). Had to drill a hole to align correctly for the 2018 Heritage. Significant reduction in buffeting.
@@kenny553 Thanks for the reply, I have a 2018 Heritage would like to use the screen but with a full face helmet the buffeting is unbearable. Will check out the link Cheers, Perry
Where did u get the passenger floorboards and what kind are they?
Here were the parts I ordered direct from Kuryakyn for the floorboards. These are mini's but my wife like them much better than the regular passenger pegs. Splined Passenger Peg Adapter for '18 Softail, Chrome Item #8923 $27.99 KineticTM Mini Boards without Adapters, Chrome Item #7611 $101.99
What size and width rim is that ? And what width tyre are you running
Those are the H-D Machete rims. Tires are the Michelin Commander II Machete 16x3in Front - 43300369 - 130/90B16 Machete 16x3in Rear - 40900088 - 150/80B16
What wheels are those on your bike?
H-D Machete Front - 43300369 H-D Machete Rear - 40900088
I just bought a 2019 Heritage and first thing I did was added Vance and Hines slash cut slip-ons and added a screaming eagle tuner---so much better than stock! Thank you for the video. Liked and subbed!
I added the quiet baffles but have since removed them. The bike is like a wild animal with the V&H slip-ons. I also tuned with the SE tuner. The bike runs great, feels great, and sounds awesome.
@@kenny553 It is a wonderful machine for sure, man! Thanks for sharing your experiences and mods. Sweeeeet!
Does the 114 need a tuner if you just do slip ons? I’ve been debating about exhausts and this vid helped a ton. VH eliminators are a great low rumble of a sound. Thanks!
Thank You for this. I’ve been looking for a comparison and you covered all the options I’ve been looking into. I’m going with the V&H Elim 300. I got #199. And stock definitely too quiet lol
did you install the eliminators? I ended up pulling those quiet baffles out. They really do sound good.
kenny55 yes I did. Along with a stage 1 and replaced the bars with Carlini 14” Evil Apes and HD “get a grip” Loving it!
Nice looking bike and I really like your rims! Do the V&H pipes void your warranty?
I would not think so, all though I have over 12K miles and have had the bike well over a year. I did tune it with the SE Pro Tuner if Warranty became an issue. Honestly I really didn't worry about it. For the first year I had the SE Cannons so I was good there.
can only imagine the quality if the ride, I own a 18 deluxe. ride on.
I've been looking for wind defectors for my 2018 Heritage and wondering whether the stock HD versions for 2017 would work too, and I've read others who said they did with a little re-drilling. Also, did you look into the JES Custom Accents deflectors that are specially made for the Heritage since others who have them say they work great, and I'd be interested in how the stock versions you have work as well.
These wind deflectors work very well. Significant reduction in buffetting. In fact i experience no wind buffetting at all. I hear the JES defectors are also good, i chose these H-D deflectors because i preferred the look of them.
Thanks for the information and good to know, appreciated!
Looks like the front lower wind deflectors are on backwards. They should be curving AWAY from the front. (I made the same mounting mistake.)
Are those Harley mag rims? And whose fork mounted windeflecters are on the bike?
Those are the Harley Machete rims. The wind deflectors are from the 2017 Heritage. You need to make a small mod to get the wind deflector mounting holes to line up for the 2018 Heritage.
@@kenny553 Do you have the Vance and Hines Part number for the Eliminator 300 Quiet Baffle? How hard was it to change the Baffle.
@@henryfree3069 It was easy to add the quiet baffles, but I pulled out the entire main baffle (per the instructions) and then was not able to push the main baffle back in all the way because the fiber glass kept binding up. I ended up re-packing and re-wrapping the fiberglass. Not a big deal. I could have installed the quiet baffles by only pulling the main baffle out a few inches and then most likely would not have affected the fiberglass. The quiet baffle p/n is on V&H website.
Thanks for the reply. I ordered the baffles from revzilla. Which slip-ons did you finally decide on the V&H 300's or the HD Street Cannons?
@@henryfree3069 I am using the V&H Elim 300's with the quiet baffles right now. We'll see how that goes for now lol. Last year I had the Street Cannons but was looking for a little more sound. I never rode with the stock slip-on's. They came off day 1. Without the quiet baffles I thought the V&H may be too loud on long rides... but I really liked the sound. I think they still sound good with the quiet baffles installed though.
FUCK ! I KNEW THOSE CHROME AIR COMPRESSORS WERE QUIET WHEN NEW ! SO IT'S THE ARROGANT ASSHOLE OWNER THAT MAKES IT LOUD !! YOU PRICKS
Great video. The 2018 Heritage 114 is a great bike, isn’t it? I have a 2018 114 in black and it’s a lovely ride. 👍🏼
