Winnsboro Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, began as a dream for a group of local artists. It has quickly become a hub by initiating, supporting, presenting, and preserving projects in nearly every artistic medium and creating a primary focus for interdisciplinary art and criticism. This RUclips channel contains primarily performances from our Bowery Stage series of concerts. There are also videos from Winnsboro community activities and events.

Artists Christopher Wayne Brown and Jaci Mouser of the Winnsboro chapter of the Wood County Muralists Guild led a team of five or six painters Saturday morning as they created the background to the mural. It resulted in quite a display of bold, bright colors. In the afternoon the detail squad, with Dennis Howard and Riley Alexander joining Chris and Jaci, the finishing details were added along ...

Promontory by Bing Futch - Theme from Last of the Mohicans
Just watching Promontory again.... for the 100th time! Was SO sorry to miss photo with you & niece yesterday... she was scared to drive her Camry into mud, waited for her dad to bring them in Denali. Good news is that they all want to make next year a full festival family trip! Winfield is the BEST!! Ya just gotta convince people to come one time, they'll be hooked!! Love you lots, Bing!!!
My granny used to tell me they would see them walking around in Wagoner Oklahoma.Anybody else hear any stories from their older family members?
A friend of my dads mother had a small cafe in Francis Oklahoma and she served Bonnie & Clyde food in the car out back of her cafe
I guess being from Texas I can understand the man clearly. Always love to sit and listen to the elders talk about the old days.

Enough of Those punks, just trash, stupid and illiterate,Clyde was a straight out killer. ,Bonnie just stupid..
Always good to hear people like this relate factual things related to bonnie and clyde. I only met one person who saw them and i was suprised. Was at a 20th maine civil war event back in 1993 and was talking to a freind about them and he said Kermit, our company historian saw them in 1933 in platte city missouri. I spoke later with him and he said he was working at slims castle across from the red crown tavern and spoke with Blanch Barrow and W.D. Jones who would come over and get food. He saw Buck in there as well but did not talk with him. He saw the gun battle later that night and saw Buck get hit and fall. Said there was alot of gunfire and yelling going on. Said it only lasted a minute or two and saw them drive off. His name was Kermit Crawford, we called him Curly. Said he felt bad for them becuase it must have beed a hard misrable life living like that. He did not who they were until after the fight abd was shown photos of them, said they paid him for the food with silver dollars. You just never know who your going to run into in life and i never thought i would talk with someone who spoke to some of them and saw all that. 23:53
They probably thought Blanche and WD was Bonnie and Clyde. Alot of people did, at the time. They was too be on the lookout for certain size people men and women. Plus Blanche in her riding pants women didn't wear at the time. They were supposed to be on the lookout for people buying medical supplies and Blanche wasnt that much bigger than Bonnie and wd was about the same size as Clyde. Blanche said that she knew it wasn't a safe place to stay and Clyde wouldn't listen to her. Thank you for sharing this😊
I love how people make criminals and people who kill out to be Good Folks . Kind of Foolish I’d say !
Couldn't there better sound system you can hardly hear him but anyways this is a great story
FUN!
What saddens me the most about the United States is that in the U.S. crime is glorified or talked about more than good deeds that people do. In fact, people talk more about criminals in the U.S. than actual heros. I'll bet most Americans are hard pressed to remember a hero's name. But, they sure know about Al Capone, Scarface, The Godfather, Charles Manson and Bonny & Clyde. Only rarely such as Martin Luther King Day or Jesus on Christmas are honored in The U.S. Even American kids are allowed to be trained by their parents to like guns when they buy their kids video games about war and killing such as Call Of Duty and Grand Theft Auto. Everything in the U.S. seems to be about violence, guns, drinking, legalizing drugs and fast cars. What is going on in that country ?? To prove my point, my American friend told me that yesterday the republican side of the American government forced the president to increase funding for the military and freezing any increase on the social security for the old people. I looked it up. The U.S. military spends more money than any other country on Earth. Yet, the government there still wants to spend more. That is the epitome of screwed up priorities.
B&C had a Horrible Life and a Horrible Death
👍
Is somebody swatting flies in the background...
I don’t understand why Bonnie and Clyde have fascinated me so for so long but they do 🤷🏼♀️
Me too!
same here. people don’t understand
If you haven't already you need to watch Stephani Harlowe's 8 part series on them. It's captivating. 7 of the videos are in a playlist and the last (video 8) is not, but it's my comfort series as my husband calls it. Lol Very detailed and wonderfully thought out and researched.
Thats right 2 bit, mad dog killers! Thanks for your memories!
Disappointing, no closed captioning for the hearing disabled.
Very poor quality presentation . Can hardly hear the discourse. Sound quality not good . Info good but not clear .
They were murdering scumbag criminals.. they deserved what they got.
B and C left their mark wherever they stayed. Two kids, not gangsters, running scared from the law. Getting back at Eastham prison was Clyde's motivation in life not getting rich or famous. They lived a miserable life on the run and on the road not the glory full gangster life most people think of. Two dumb kids on the run trying to stay alive just one more day.
B&C were ruthless criminals who died as violent as they lived. Good riddance!
Ok
I think pop's be knowin mo than he be sayin. He know that he has to keep quiet
P𝐫O𝕞O𝓢m 🤦
I’m the 50s my dad got to see the death car in mount pleasant tx
Ive seen it couple times.... Think they been displaying it several places around the US....be well.
I worked at a truck stop back around 1973 in oak grove Missouri and they brought the car into the station on a trailer and I was right up next to it looking it all over of course I was a 15 year old boy young and dumb I knew what I was looking at but like I said I was 15
When i was a kid in 73, i saw the death car at Brockton mass fair. I climbed over ropes and put afew fingers in bullet holes. Found out they were exit holes as bullets came in thru Clydes side. He was killed by a head shot immediately. This is why Bonnie started screaming she saw the cops hop up she started screaming as they said like a banshee. Clydes foot slipped off clutch be ause he was dead. Bonnie was screaming because clydes brains were sprayed all over her. Then the posse just opened up. 167 bullet holes in total. Most went thru clyde into her. She lived for like 30 seconds until Hinton opened her dr and fell into his arms he pushed her in dead. Bonnie a tually killed no one ever. Also Hitlers touring car was there..summer of 73. I started becoming a amateur Historian about all western outlaws from Jesse James to to Bonnie and Clyde, pretty boy Floyd, Dillinger. And Baby face Nelson. Incidentally in Public enemies starts out with purvis killing Floyd which was stupid considering he was killed last, before Dillinger. NELSON IS also screwed by history. He knew from connections that they murdered Dillinger and Floyd so on november 22nd Nelson killed 2 Fbi agents one was in on Dillinger killing. So All that was left was Barker Karpis gang. Also Ma Barker was a kindly old lady who went to church and never killed anyone. They posed machine gun in her arms.
Continuing as far as Nelson goes. He knew the Fbi would kill him dead no matter what so he.killed them even though he was shot 17 shotgun pellets in his legs and 15 machine gun shots in belly to chest.google the man who supposedly killed Floyd he made a deathbed confession. He was brought in as a shrpshooter. When Floyd was running thru corn field he shot floyd in elbow but floyd kept going, so he shot him in leg which dropped him. Purvis walked up told him his name was Charles artur Floyd...hated nickname pretty boy. Purvis said this is for Kansas city...where agents were killed transporting a prisoner. Actually one of the gunman was vern miller. The mob tortured and killed him for putting heat on Kansa city underworld. Like i said google that mans confession. He said purvis had another agent fire into Floyds chest killing him. Purvis said and i quote" u think we r coming back here for trial when half the people think he is a hero and the others he is related too!". Then he told that shooter that dropped him u r taking credit for this kill. It bothered him his whole life. He didn't want to loose his job and pension so he kept his mouth shut. There r puctures of him fingerprinting Floyd. Floyd only killed 1 man a boynty hunting sheriff who crossed state lines. He sprung out of the darkness with a shorgun blasted floyd in his legs but Floyd killed him with his 45. It bothered Floyd the last few yrs of his life, he talked of it often...sound like a man who 3 yrs later would machine gun a carload of people with 2 other guys killing Frank jelly Nash. Who was said was going to testify on afew cohorts to get out of death sentence. Fbi has always been corrupt. J edgar Hoover was a cross dressing homo who lived with his mother. The mob had pictures of him in drag and film of him and his boyfriend Clyde Tolson. They r buried side by side and Hoover died first and left him everything. Hoover was also in on killing Kennedy along with Johnson because they were going to retire Hoover. But Hoover showed Kennedy Marilyn pics with him so that nixed that. Hoover denied their was a mob until they all got caught having the big meeting in Appalachin New York. Purvis must of had ghosts chasing him in his dreams for unarmed men he killed. Dillinger, FLOYD and others because he killed himself in 61 with same gun he used on Dillinger...although it was doughtful it was as he didn't shoot Dillinger in back of head when he was down. Sam Crowley did...why Nelson got him. I could go on and on. Did u know Bobby Kennedy had a 4yr fling with Jackie Kennedy after the president was killed? There is a book out. And Bobby killed Marilyn Monroe. He was seen leaving her house the nite she died. He got pulled over for speeding. Peter Lawford was driving. Look what the Feds did to Trump! Chased him for 6yrs with phony shit cost us millions of dollars. Money that goes to Ukraine is whacked up with ukraines president and the elite. Pelosie, and company. 87k new irs agents to grab your money. Borders wide open and fentanol killing our kids nor to mention all the terrorists coming into country. It is all by design. They don't want Trump back in because he will get Hunter, his Dad, his brother. They all take money from china and other countries. 178k a yr salaries and leave...never with millions of dollars. Insider trading. Pelosis husband just made 100 plus million from such knowledge. And Epstein didn't kill himself. Windpipe doesn't get crushed hanging yourself in cell. Cameras were off, guards were asleep. Do u really beleive that. Pedophile island. I know a probtion officer in fla who has inside dope on what went on there. Bill Clinton loves girls around 13, nice huh. And he said Hillary hasn't eaten more muff than he ever did! And Barry seal ran coke into the airstrip where pablo escobars relative bought it all up. Airport, house around it.Look up menza airport where he was governor and they killed the 2 teenage boys and laid them on railroad tracks to destroy bodies. One of the guys who put bodies on tracks has confessed, no charges, but u can google it. Clintons even killed there lawyer. Our country is gone now...mayberry never really existed.
How do you know for sure that Bonnie Parker and Ma Barker never killed anyone?
@@Mr1gladiatore alvin karpis was released and moved to canada.he did more time 25yrs in Alcatraz than anyone. Great interview with him. He had no reason to lie and he made jokes about Hoover arresting him. Barker karpis gang stole almost 2 million! Got 250k in 1 shot. He talked about ma. Said she loved checkers, church and going to the movies..he said they would take her and set her up in a apartment... the best and case a job for afew wks and then do it. Then move on. They loved her so they took her but never on a job! He said look after after a 65yr old women and get into gunfights too! He laughed and said it was all made up by Hoover so he wouldn't look bad. All the dime novels were done after they killed her. He also talked about other gangs. How they would help eachother when needed. He said Nelson was crazy and made him nervous. Great interview google Talks with Alvin Karpis it will come up.
@@donaldoneill2117 I understand that Ma Barker at 65 yrs old not killing anyone but what about Bonnie Parker? I realize after her leg injury that she was probably forced to stay in the car or wait somewhere to meet up after a job but before her injury, she probably participated because she liked the excitement of it. There are so many different versions about the 1930s outlaws that you can't ever know absolutely what is the truth.

Wow, I could sit and listen to this old feller all day long about those times. My Pappa told me that during the depression Sometimes he'd get so hungry he'd knaw his pillow. Grandpa and his Sister Bertha Mullinax and her husband left Alabama to go out there to the Midwest to find work picking cotton, cutting wheat, working on ranches in Texas. He remembered all this going on. They were somewhere out there eating in a cafe and a guy walked in with a big wide brimmed hat. He ordered food People started whispering and they said, "That's Machine Gun Kelly." That man jumped up and slipped out the back door..Grandpa said not long after that. He heard the laws sirens. I ask him about Bonnie and. Clyde and he said folks knew Bonnie and Clyde had a reputation for being alright..good to folks and stuff but he said they also knew that they would kill you in a heartbeat. He said he felt that the way they died was I guess you would say was an unnecessary overkill he felt..But he made me understand how folks felt about I guess you'd call the system, the banks, the laws and he was a good man but it was like he understood why all of them people were running outlaw in those days
King..salute king ...looks like we've.. Come full circle..depression era Is upon us again unless I miss my.guess..are we gonna see these Histories repeat again ? Bonnie & Clyde No. 2. ..Lester M. Gillis No. 2 Dillinger No 2....what about Capone ? Luciano..Anastasia..nation wide Crime sprees ?? Which side will You be on ? Boiled shoe leather Dosent taste very good...
I love hearing our older generations tell stories I worked in a nursing home after college waiting to take my exams and I loved it when the residents would tell stories about their childhoods and young lives My grandpa lived with us after my grandmother passed away, he had been a gold miner in his youth and went on to be a house painter, he was such a great storyteller, gosh I miss him and our talks, he was such a wonderful, gentle man.
And, no one stopped them! Now, they know all about it
Yes. Peter is Jewish! So what’s he doing with a son named Christopher? I can only guess!
This is the way folk music was meant to be sung. Participatorially
I was entering my teen years when this came out. My sister had all their albums. They were worn out from use. This song made me cry back then, and it makes me cry now, at 69 !!
One of my great uncles ran with them. That great uncle was a POS who would steal from anyone, including family, poor as they were. No sympathy here for B&C.
Who was your great uncle?
@@davidm8914 Last name was Hamilton. Don't recall the first, off hand.
I'm not sure, in the picture I found he was blonde and very square jawed. When I was young, I overheard my father talking to his brother-in-law about it. He never told me directly. I think that was just after to 60's B&C movie. It was a family shame issue.
@David M Best wishes to you as well!
Live by the gun . Die by the gun
After being a depression-era gangster historian since 1969, the one thing that bothers me the most is how people seem to love these crooks? the real heroes are those that died at the hands of pukes like this, my only fascination in all these years has been what made these people want to rob others? putting a gun in someone's face takes no special skills, it's easy to rob others, what was hard was earning an honest dollar to feed the families without having to steal from others, the crap you hear like...." times were hard" is no excuse...millions of people managed to make a living without having to steal from others......
YES!!! How people glamourize criminals as something romantic .
When the State robs and brutalizes people what do you expect? My only problem with it is that they murdered the wrong people.
@@alanfowler6156 There is nothing praiseworthy about ANY crook...be it the State or anybody else, a crook is just a crook and should be dealt with accordingly.....
@@muddbosss Yes but who is going to 'deal with' the State?
I think it’s because the common people hated the bankers more than anything. And not without reason. The bankers foreclosed on your farm and your home, put you out in the street. The police and the sheriff always helped the bankers, so an outlaw who robbed banks and fought the cops was regarded sympathetically.
I was 6. I LOVE this!!!
Terrible video. The old man is nervous and keeps tapping on the table and not good sound. Poorly executed.
