I was truly impressed watching the installation of the Sanipit Grinder Pump. The way the guy and girl worked together in perfect harmony was inspiring. They complemented each other so well, turning the whole process into smooth teamwork. Truly a fantastic job by both of them!

so it connects to what outside? a septic?
Hello Jess. Like any traditional plumbing system, our products need to be connected to a septic tank, holding tank or city sewer.
But where does it all go???
Hello Jess. Our products pump the waste of a toilet, shower and sink upward. After pumping the waste upward, gravity will do the rest - allowing the waste to fall through the pipe at a ¼” drop per foot allowing for gravity to move the waste into an already existing piping. Can any plumber install it? I can't find any installer in Calgary. I would like to hide all those pipes in an utility room on the other side of the wall.

i'm installing a stand up shower in my basement with a saniflo toilet. Do i need to purchase a showermatic pump to hook up to the toilet macerating pump for discharge?

My waste pipe which runs to the soil pipe does not have a lot of fall which is causing my new shower to not drain away quickly enough. Is it possible to use one of these to push the waste water along to the soil pipe? Many of the images suggest that the waste leaving the macerator has to go vertically initially, whereas mine would just all be horizontal. Many thanks
Hello James, All Saniflo systems are designed to pump up vertical to the highest point then horizontal with a slope of 1/4" per foot. In this scenario you is looking to discharge horizontally - which is ok since all of our systems can discharge flat horizontal up to 120 ft or more depending on the model selected. 😄
The shower needs to be raised AND close to the pump in order to get the required slope from the drain.
Hello Dan, That is correct. We recommend an 6 to 8" shower base. This allows for gravity to push the water into the pump naturally. With the shower base - a Sanishower can be places in the shower base... or one of our bathroom pumps will near by attached to the toilet (like in this video).
