Thanks for the feedback. The staff attitude and service was exceptional on 3 out of the 4 flights we took. The food was better than expected overall, we were pleasantly surprised having had low expectations. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Yes, I thought it might be a problem with levels, I'm finding it difficult to judge. Anyway, the transit hotel is only available once per booking and depends on you having the correct length of layover within their parameters.

Just wanted to say that your comment made me check again on my video editor to see if there was an automatic volume level adjustment and it turns out there is! Hopefully this will make future videos clearer. Thanks for giving me your feedback.

I recommend that you telephone your local air china office to arrange the hotel. That is how I booked the hotel and I received confirmation the next day. Thanks for watching the video.

The service is for passengers in any class, I think the only difference between business and economy is that the choice of hotels is different.

The hotel was available for the duration of our layover but we didnt get to do anything other than sleep due to a long time at immigration and an early departure the next day. Have a good trip and thanks for watching.

We had a similar length of layover in Beijing. Our bags were checked through to our final destination so we didn't see them in Beijing whilst we were in the complimentary hotel. PEK seemed well staffed and run so I am sure your bags will arrive in Istanbul when you do. Have a good trip.

I hate being too hot and agree that the lack of individual air vents is a big loss. I wish I didn't have to carry a usb fan on flights. Thanks for watching.

No major changes in the next video. The crew were not as organised and not as pleasant on the flight from PEK to LHR but not a problem. On the other 3 flights the crew were exemplary. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Hope this helps.

But what about on your way back to the airport. Are the bus readily available on time or do we need to call someone? We were thinking to go back at 5am then ride the train to the city to tour.

The first bus, from the airport to the hotel was arranged by email before our trip, but we did have to telephone the hotel because we were later than the time we had arranged (due to the time spent at immigration). As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we arranged with reception for a transfer back to the airport at 5am the next morning. The bus was outside at reception ready for us the next morning. All transfers were free. During our stay we only had time to sleep!
