In this lunch time sculpt I start on adding in some polypaint in Zbrush to start getting some color going. Still a few details I need to add to the tail I noticed after painting. But just taking this model one step at a time as time allows.

Idk if u keep answering questions from 10 year old videos but, after sculpting the sofa in zbrush,could i just zremesh it to create the low poly?.Im learning a bunch of stuff at the moment about blender,substance,zbrush and dont really want to learn how to retopologise at the moment .thanks!
Yeah I'm still answering....To answer your question - yes. :) . The difference from 10 years is there are so many good tools to make a low poly mesh. So, on some models I go in and do a Z-remesh (if you check out the Kaiju zbrush videos I go over some of this method.) But other than that you just want to make sure you have good UV's. The UV's are your biggest factor when using software like Substance or Blender to do your bakes.

Thanks for this video. Not sure if anything changed since your posted this and if anyone runs across this. If the stitches don't line up as they should their is a projection method at the bottom of the tool settings. Change the size space to screen and I had to use UV alignment. Otherwise great video that got me started on adding stitches.

Hi, I have never seen any program so repulsive and hard to learn, especially very small amount info of How to paint the goddamn model, and how to add 2 or more models into the main, most of the videos are just the guy is clicking on icons so fast and the same mono color model,
I agree it is a very different program to get the hang of. Another similar program to zbrush mini is Nomad Sculpt that runs on tablets. I'll also try to keep this in mind moving forward on my videos too for those still getting the hang of the programs I use.
@@AlexAntuna Thanks for the reply, Just bear in mind that just tryig to track the movements of a fast mouse and keep an eye on the result is counterintuitive, please put more emphasis on the tools, buttons etc so the viewer will have a chance to stop, start the video to write it down and a coherent, proper explanation is also very important, not like many that can't even make a coherent sentence , wish you success in the future

Without clone tool it's a pain. You can fix tiling in painter in seconds with it :( Please add it to the Marmo.
The painting method on duplicated planes works great, but I can't get procedural layers to generate seamless textures. I'm not sure if it requires any extra setup.
Check out at the 5:52 mark of the video. I go over that part of using procedurals. If you adjust the scale at the wrong part, it will mess up the seamless texture.
@@AlexAntuna Thanks for the reply. The thing is, I haven't adjusted the tiling on the projection method. It's set to UV, and the tiling is 1.0 by default. The only difference I noticed is that my generated plane is 10 times smaller than yours. My position offset is 100, but I don't think that makes a difference.
@@UnrealBucket That is interesting.. Hmm.. Not sure what would be causing that then. Another thought is to create your own plane and import it with UV's and not make a generated one from Toolbag and see if that gives the same result.
Another way is to make a PNG-File with transparent/alpha. Then put into Albedo Channel and with Planar or Triplanar Mapping you can move this Decal around till it is fine. The advantage is that you can move it precisely without constantly radiating and repainting.

You could use this same technique; you would then make that text as an image and if possible and add in the alpha too.

I have a question what website are you using to make this model
Mainly used pinterest for all the references and some Google searches for the anatomy images. The little window of all the images I use is called Pureref app. Other than that just going off all references combined and have fun with it.

What about the section/tab where you can put your pictures into a folder, it says put it in Quest2/vermillion/references or something like that but I can't find that folder on my PC!

how do you control pressure while applying the paint?
Should depend on how you push the brush to canvas and that is more or less how the pressure is made.
@@AlexAntuna interesting, so it depends on how far you extend your hard towards the canvas? does it have haptic feedback or something? I really wish I could test this. I was thinking about saving money to buy an Ipad but I really like this VR thing quick compositions and references + no back pain
@@PedroRodrigues-fh1ku yeah has vibration in the controllers so when you grab a brush or touch the canvas you feel a vibration. It is a pretty cool program. If you love to paint you'll dig this program a lot!
"Could you please let me know how long the download feature has been available? I think that the app requires an image to be in app to function properly. As you can see on my channels, I've had a big issue with seeing the projected image in darker areas until I got a pantograph. My solution for the app was to create shapes and make them blink using GIMP gif format. With layers, it shouldn't be no problem. You paint on one layer and then merge it down. For example, you have a base layer and layer one, which is pure black or white. Then, on layer two, you do your painting. Next, you move the pure white layer to the bottom out of the way, move the base layer up, and merge the painted layer onto the base layer. After that, you move the base layer to the bottom out of the way, erase your painted layer, and repeat the process. Do you understand?"
Yeah that is a pretty advanced question. If you go to this link vermillion-vr.com/ they have a Discord channel at the bottom. They can probably answer a lot of your more technical questions and the community is very helpful on answering as best too. Hope this helps!
So, get this, folks on that discord went bananas when I slapped a copyright on my stuff with NFT. They were like, "Whoa, he's the evil NFT king!" Little did they know, I was just the guinea pig for that app, testing the waters like a digital Jacques Cousteau. Picture this: you've got a blank layer 2 white (filled with white or black, grey) canvas, right? You're free as a bird, painting without a care in the world, not even checking if you're coloring inside the lines while painting on blank layer 3. Then, bam, you merge it with the main hidden artwork, layer 1, and do it all over again on a clean layer 3. It's like an art sandwich! So, whenever you're ready to dive into this crazy process, I'll be here to guide you through the dow-technique jungle. Consider this a comedy and a classroom rolled into one! 🎨@@AlexAntuna

Thanks! I wanna say I did like a frame mesh by polygroup. Used that to add a curve outline of the loop. Then added the tube insert mesh brush.

I think for complex operations they need to just make a floating popup menu with ALL of the commands. It seems like in VR they make too many steps to complete a task that is trivial on a 2d screen.
Yeah there are a few things I feel if they fine tuned it could really speed up the process. They have come a long way and do listen to their users so hopefully more features are add in as it grows.

Passthrough mode is amazing. You have to remove your "virtual headset" to turn it on. Not the must intuitive way but it's cool. I set the scale to 100% and measured my tv and couch for example. Very cool stuff.

Seems like they haven't updated in a long time. @Alex Have you checked you Rebelle? They had a crazy deal around Thanksgiving. I missed it but it looks great and I wonder what your take on it is.

On the files are you meaning the paint by numbers image? All you do is go to the browser and just search an image and the app will convert any image for you. It is pretty cool! I hope this helps!

Cool! Yeah under settings/bindings there is a list of all hotkeys and you can change them. So far I have it as default since it was pretty close to zbrush on most things. Over time I'll update the hotkeys more as needed.
