Referencing a number of Scriptures including Hebrews 1:1-3 demonstrating the beauty of Christ.

Luke 7:11-17 tells the story of Jesus compassion and sovereignty toward a widow suffering a double blow with death, her husband and now her son. The Word, the Work, the Wonder of Jesus is the focus here.

The centurion in Luke7 was a very unusual Roman centurion. Given the typical Roman high nose attitude along with an unusual request made to Jesus which resulted in the restoration of the health of his son. Jesus then made an unusual comment to the humble Roman.

Luke 6:20-49 are ethics that can only truly be lived by believers.

Last in a series of four on Judas Iscariot. Beginning with Hebrews 1:1-3 "God. Has. Spoken., and ending with Hebrews 12:25-29, "See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking", the Book of Hebrews is filled with warnings to those who follow the path of a Judas.

Luke 9:51 Jesus begins His journey to Jerusalem where "all things spoken of Him in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms would be fulfilled" when He said from the cross..."It is Finished!"

An introduction on various subjects concerning Jesus choosing the twelve.

Jesus chose very different men to be His chosen men. For example Simon the Zealot was a tax-hater and Matthew was a tax-gatherer. Simon was a jewish patriot and Matthew was considered a traitor while he worked for the Roman government. Yet all where followers of Jesus and they're identity was in found in Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-30 is very familiar to all of us but I believe it was Matthew's personal experience in life. When Jesus called him at his tax booth he was ready because the Lord had prepared his heart.

Taken from Matthew 11 where Jesus severely criticised His home town Capernaum because they deliberately chose to ignore Him even though he lived among them for a period of years. Their sin was greater than Sodom. A very sobering reality.
