Commsverse is a Microsoft Teams Community Conference in the United Kingdom. We are a voluntary business where our organisers are working professionals within the Microsoft ecosystem. We wanted to create a conference for techies by techies and share real world, expert content curated from some of the best professionals in the business without sales patter or marketing influence.

I'll explore it, but this is a 40 minute talk titled "AUTOMATE Phone number management in Microsoft Teams" and you spent less than 30 seconds addressing how to automate any aspect of this. When it came to the very end when you mentoined it, there were two sentences: 1. someone does it MANUALY once a week (not automation), or 2) it's possible with Azure Automate or from PIM (I think...not sure if accent or audio). So, while I think the script is great, you didn't actually provide any help towards the goal of automating. Please create an updated video on the actual process of automating.

After I domain joined one of our MTR machines, the touch screen in the Creston Mercury panel stopped working. After each reboot, it works for a few seconds, but than the touch function stops. Any ideas anyone??

How can we analyse TDL for shared channel issue in new Teams experience?
Question .. we have Poly and Yealink phones that are rebooting daily. We have tested POE and even added certified power supplies, but still, these phones keep rebooting several times a day! Any directional help would be fantastic. thx

I have implemented LBR. Let me illustrate my query with an example.. I have 10 users sitting in the office at A location in city name X.. All the 10 users in the office are sitting behind the office firewall named "office-firewall". I have my SBC in some other location which we address as location B and this SBC is also behind some firewall which we will address as centralzed firewall. Now, we have an IP sec VPN connectivity between the OFFICE firewall (location A) and SBC centralized firewall (location B) .. Further, I have created LBR at Microsoft teams side where I have defined the subnet being used by 10 users . till this point everything is achieved as expected and all these 10 users are able to make and receive calls without issues, this also restricts these users to make any calls when they are not on the office network or trying from home or some other location.. Adding to this now we have 11th user who wants to make a call irrespective of the location so we created another calling policy for 11th user , using this policy we kept the parameter "prevent toll bypass and send calls through the PSTN" is true .. The difference between this one user (11th user) and those office 10 users is for office users this specific parameter is set to OFF. and all these 10 users whenever make a call from anywhere except office their call is simply rejected by Teams with message you are not allowed. Now coming to the 11th user who should be allowed for making calls irrespective of the location is able to make a call with that parameter is set to ON . But the problem with this 11th user is media is not passing both ways. The teams user is able to hear the Voice of the person he is trying to reach but the other party who is receiving a call over mobile is not getting any media.. IN case of incoming call there is no media to the mobile user, teams user is getting the media , call continue with one way media.. And when the teams user make an outbound call the call drops in 6 seconds as Microsoft sends the BYE message just after the ack . for 6 seconds the media is again one way and that is towards the teams user, here again the other party who is receiving the call not getting any media.. Hope the scenario and problem statement is clear..Additionally, in the incoming call which works with one way audio, i have found teams sending firewall IP in the Invite message which i am windering is how come and from where it is autimatically picking up firewall IP as media IP.. IN the outgoing call there is no reinvite as call immediatey gets dropped after the ack message.

For microsoft teams direct routing inbound calls, I am getting multiple 180 ringings from Microsoft teams side( that too with different tags) despite user is logged in at single device(no forking) ..Is there a way to restrict multiple 180 ringings to just one ?? i am expecting 180 ringing only once from microsoft teams side which is not happening.
I manage an IT department for a life science company of about 120 users. I tried as hard as I could to get my user base to adopt Teams for voice, conferencing, and meetings, but it was a miserable failure. We ended up staying on Zoom, which in my opinion, is far better. It just works! All of our users are remote and all connect via high-speed connections via their ISP from their home. We don't have any complicated infrastructure. This is not rocket science. But my users all had dropped calls, glitching, latency, everything. Honestly, I have way better things to spend my time on in running this department other than tweaking back-end settings for this service for my userbase. Using Zoom just works. That's what I need in a service like this, and I imagine a lot of other IT directors as well. It's unfortunate too, because I was really hoping people would adopt this platform, but they hated it so much, abandoning it was unavoidable.

I need advise. We are getting this error: Using Windows & Teams Desktop o Casting does not detect a room o Joining an Internal or External meeting, gives me an option to use room audio, but it does not automatically detect the room proximity. I must manually select a room. (I get the message “Automatic room discovery is not available on your device yet”)
Hi George, we had the same problem and I solved it by permitting the Teams App to use Bluetooth in the PC/ Mac settings. That immediately solved this.

We also use Teams with direct Routing, but we miss the PAI Field in SIP Ringing, when i call the Teams User. Someone have a solution for this? Without the PAI Field in the Ringing the Caller didnt get the Name in his Display.
You can integrate your SBC with AD, it can then do a reverse number lookup on the A Party Number and inject the PAI field appropriately.
Saw how you were filtering for licensed users awaiting their number assignment and thought I would share the command I have been using: Get-CsOnlineVoiceUser -NumberNotAssigned -PSTNConnectivity Online
