    I have a question. I have a 2000 Saab 9 5 and my ignition switch was getting stuck. I bought a new one from the junkyard. My switch assembly has a cable similar to a one like for cable TV only smaller that is connected to the housing and goes to the shifter area. The one from the junkyard doesn't. What does that cable do?

    • @noskatana94
      @noskatana94 4 года назад

      That cable is part of the twice system, you'll need to return that one unfortunately and find one with the cable. For some reason there were a few options for them in the earlier years. 😑 If you get a chance, can you take a Pic and email it to me at boostin80@gmail.com

    Thank you so much for the video as I have the same issue on my 06 9-5 Aero. One thing I am having trouble with is getting the black plate with the 4 tabs off. I was hoping you were going to show that part so is there any tips on getting it off? Thanks again, Tom

    • @noskatana94
      @noskatana94 5 лет назад

      Thanks bud! And yeah I should've showed that part as well. The only tip I can really think of is use a flat head screwdriver and start on the right side. You'll have to use a bit of force to press the tabs in. While pushing the tab, lift up on the trim a bit so it doesn't snap back into place. And just repeat that around the whole bezel. If you need more help just let me know.

    Why didn't you take the shift knob handle off to fo this correctly. It's easy to do with only one screw and it only requires cutting and reconnecting Jr. Two wires feeding the "Sport" button.

    God bless you sir. I just changed the jalousie in my 2005 95 Saab with your fab cheats method. How easy was that. I asked my local royal automobile club how much it would be to change, I already had bought the part. He said they would have to take the entire consol out so it would cost $400 Australian dollars. I watched your video again and took a chance. I am a 67 year old woman and I did it in about 5 minutes. Thanks for the wonderful post. Everyone, use this method and save oodles. Much love from Australia, 🥰 Laura Black,

      The manual is fun, but zero traction in the first two gears. Spins in third a little on certain road surfaces’. You can push the manual to stage 3 w/out a new clutch pack. So I’ve been told. Best $250 I’ve spent on a car was the BCB tune. Stg3 will cost another $150 and it’ll be roughly 310 hp and 345/350 torque. I can’t wait.

      @@noskatana94 i thought for a stage 1 you had to have a cold air filter or some other small mods. i could be wrong tho. that is why i was asking. • @noskatana94

      Bill Feinberg yes sir. 99-09 all had the same setup. If your Jalouis is broken or most of its missing, there is a good possibility the shift indicator ribbon may have gotten pinched up in there. Mine was still in decent shape when I did mine, but, I still put a new ribbon in while I was in there just in case. Sorry for the late reply, but, hope this helped bud. • @noskatana94
      @noskatana94 6 лет назад

      Aron Kovacs it's actually doing very good so far. Aisin transmissions hold up very well as long as they're maintenanced well. And I maintenance mine every 6 months just to be on the safe side. 😊😊

    • @kirbyswarp
      @kirbyswarp 6 лет назад

      SwedePower417 what do you mean by maintenance?

    • @noskatana94
      @noskatana94 6 лет назад

      kirbyswarp just basically making sure you have fresh fluids in it. I do a complete drain and fill every 6 months or so. I use 12 quarts. Drain 4 qts, run it for a day or so then do another 4 until I've done the 12. I just do it to get as much of the old fluid out and clean it the best I can. You don't have to use my method, I'm just a stickler. You can just do a 4 quart drain and fill and most likely be fine depending on how old and how long the fluids been in it. Hope that helps bud.

    • @kirbyswarp
      @kirbyswarp 6 лет назад

    Be very careful pulling the trim bezel off. The outer rubber part of the trim bezel can be easily separated from the hard plastic part that snaps into the console. As careful as I was being when removing the trim bezel, I separated the rubber from the plastic. I now get to buy a new trim bezel piece to the tune of $45. Pay very close attention to what you are doing.
