I have both. Slight edge to the J45 on tone but couldn’t stand the slim neck so I sold it for the J45 banner with a chunky neck. The Taylor’s neck is incredibly smooth and pretty chunky. Tone-wise this Taylor definitely belongs in the conversation with the J45 Standard. It’s right there. The banner is in another class

You need two SJ200's if you're thinking rosewood option, one rosewood, one maple. I'd take the Western Classic (gorgeous) and a good, Standard maple. And no, I do think these are over-priced, they are amazing, exclusive, you get what you pay for. One life. Fulfil your desire guys.

Falcons are not hand wired in the sense of vintage amps. They are pcb’s with tubes mounted to board..no eyelets or turrets..not cool. They can be serviced, but pcb’s are definitely not what the industry considers hand wired.

Can't afford the Gibson SJ-200 so I'm going for the Epiphone inspired by Gibson J-200. They almost sound alike. Matter of fact, I've even read that some folk think the Epiphone sounds a bit better than the Gibson, same with the Hummingbird..🎸

Hello! As to my mind Fender`s cleans (no matter Tweed, Brown face or Black face - classical series) can be the reference clean tone example. But 64 sounds rather better! 64`s sound is more balanced, warm and smooth - the real black face tone! By the way 64 sounds louder that can be very useful on rehearsal and on the stage. Princeton 64 gives rather more versatility with more loudness, full, well balanced tone and better tone control . With 12ay7 V1, 12au7 v2/V3, 12at 7V4 and 2*6v6S (from JJ for example) 64 can be very versatile clean pedal platform. Princeton`s 65 sound rather more bright and can be harsh (especially at breakup), has worse tone control. May be reasonable tube replacement (12ay7 V1, 12au7 v2/V3, 12at 7V4 and 2*6v6S (from JJ for example)) can salve this problem (even with the stock speaker) for better more balanced cleans and better tone control fore those who don`t need the breakup and need branded Fender cleans.
