You make valid points. In the original draft of this challenge, I started without the base and on Calidor because of the restrictions to certain crafting recipes and materials. I have since learned of some things that lead me to the challenge as it is currently shown, like the derelict launch platforms being added to more planets than I realized. The main reason I wanted to start with the shelter existing was because of the quest log. There is a mission that specifically instructs you to install an oxygenator into the base which I can't clear without a base, and missions after that won't show up until you do. I felt it was acceptable to do this since the base isn't used for the entire rest of the challenge. As for the portable oxygenator, I felt it was fine to add it because I didn't want to just remove the oxygen component entirely, and with the PO and QTRTG it imposes a minor inventory restriction in exchange for freedom of movement. Oxygen management is still very much a factor, especially when you juggle the power demands of your PO and your other devices in the early game. It absolutely is possible to do this challenge without the starting base or the PO, just a bit more tedious. I'll leave that challenge to someone more... dedicated than myself. Or perhaps I'll revisit this challenge again in the future with more restrictions!

@@ballachmonai'm pretty sure they fixed the oxygenator quest too, if you start without the landing pad and shelter when it comes to that quest you can simply complete it and move on now

I've been having difficulty with deciding the appropriate volume. In OBS, the little lines say that I'm bordering on the yellow with most of my talking. I'll work on some balancing, then. Thank you for the feed back!
