To a point. Sure. That was a bit too high for me at 6’4”. My head needs to be lower than the upper windshield frame. :) A shorter person might have loved that seat height.

I cheated and used the slave cable from my other HMMWV to crank this one. No joy. Pretty sure the IP is shot. I new one goes in this week.

Still haven't decided, but I'm leaning towards keeping the stock setup and selling the expensive aftermarket ones.

I shot video of getting the seat to slide and raise/lower. Gotta find and post that. But when i was an aircraft mechanic in the USAF we called the technique "malletizing".

I may. I don't think I have any though. Probably will try to clean them out with q-tips first, then shoot some dielectric grease in them and see if they work. If so, then no need to replace. If not, I'll have to order some.

VERY slowly. But yes. BIG decision yesterday: I'm going to hire James "The HMMWV Whisperer" to change my IP instead of doing it myself. I've changed a HMMWV IP before and never want to do that job again. Once he's done that, it should be running and driveable. Hopefully by the end of next week.

I'll put it on the list. But I'm not currently familiar enough with that flow chart to make that video without some studying. In my case, I know the IP is bad because of the rust in the fuel. But also because of the throttle that sticks wide open. My 2nd HMMWV had a similar problem. I was able to get the truck running and driving with the original IP, but it didn't have enough power to get up the driveway. So, that is 2 things that confirm it is bad and I didn't have to go any further in my troubleshooting. Have you seen this? gear-report.com/help-hmmwv-wont-start-humvee-glow-plug-start-system-maintenance There is also a link in there to how I bypass most of the fuel system to isolate the IP for troubleshooting.
