There are plenty of examples where a father's strong opposition has been overruled by his wife, even among leading FGM campaigners eg Leyla Hussein. To suggest that men en bloc should refuse marriage with cut women is to add to the victimisation of these women and deny them their human right to be able to have a fullfilling and loving relationship with the man they love.
