ER, like error, ATOR, like gator. I don't mean to come off as nitpicky but listening to this (more then watching) I didn't understand what you were talking about in the intro until further in when you introduced them.

I actually haven’t played the game yet, I do intend to at some point, but this video has helped me find a reason to play it. It may sound counterintuitive, or that may be the way I think of it because it’s 1:00AM, as I’m spoiling parts of the game for myself, but since I rarely understand the lore for the games by myself, I don’t get to experience the sheer amount of effort that has been put into a game, such as Rain World, to craft it. This goes for everything, from short stories, to analog horror, to games, to literally everything that has an action or gameplay-written plot with lore not being front and centre, and even then I struggle. By watching this, it’s actually made me understand the beauty of Rain World and the iterators, and how everything in the game has meaning behind it. I know Rain World is a hard game, I feel that’s part of the reason why it’s so popular, and that’s what’s sorta thrown me off, as I’m not the best at hard games. When I try hard games, I never rage or punch something, I just lose interest, as I feel like I’ll never get better, even if I know I am. However, specific games I have found a work around for. Terraria, a very popular game made within a year or 2 of Minecraft, is not too hard of a game, unless you go for one of the harder difficulties, as many probably know. Terraria I originally had no interest for, as the bossfight were tough, my dodging skills were bad and my ability to use good items and weapons was really bad (I would always pick the worst of the bunch, but be completely clueless). This all changed when I played terraria, because my most trusted friend beat it. I wanted to please them, as I’m a person who mostly wants to help and please people to keep them happy. Over the next 220 hours, I slowly, but surely, completed terraria, going through the game and defeating many bosses, even getting the Zenith and obtaining 95/115 achievements in that same world. I felt happy with myself, able to complete a game which I thought was hard and grindy, and enjoyed it as well. For months after, I left it alone, but it still stood as a small trophy of mine that made me happy. After those months, the same trusted friend as before had his computer fixed (this is important for later), and wanted to do modded. Since I did my playthrough on pc, he wanted to do a multiplayer one as well. It would be simple, thorium, Qwerty, one piece and some QoL (Quality of Life) mods. Over time, we improved, got better loot, fought some bosses, and enjoyed our time on it. Previously, on a past run, he got up to a specific boss, Granite Elemental, and just couldn’t beat it. It was a very hard bossfight, one he couldn’t defeat even after many tries, and what made him give up. At one point, he had to go, same as always, and we were about 20 hours in with a good amount of progression into Pre-Hardmode. His computer broke, it wouldn’t be fixed for a long time. I was now without the world we had worked on, and had nothing to do. I commit myself to games until I get bored, and now I was fully into modded terraria. Since that happened, I quickly made a new world, new character, and made it somewhat similar to the previous world, including and discluding some mods here and there. I was committed to helping my friend with the boss he struggled on, as odd as that may sound. I quickly got through all the bosses, playing as a mage throughout my playthrough. I defeated boss after boss, EoC, KS, EoW, they were dying faster and faster. At some point I reached the point I was looking for. I was at the Granite Elemental. I didn’t make an arena to start, I left the room as is, and tested the waters. I died immediately. I knew some attacks, but didn’t know all. I can see why he quit. I continued, dying again and again, until I got a run which lasted 10 minutes, and it’s the one I won. I’ll start closing off from here as this is tenfold longer than it should be, and I know by now you just wanna stop reading, if you don’t want to give up reading for some reason. I quickly realised how I did this, and told him how to beat the boss. I felt happy, I was able to achieve something I was aiming for, but now what. I was with a world with good items, barely any progression in total, and a desire to continue. I continued, defeating the next boss, and the next, and the next, telling him how to defeat them, until I reached hardmode, which I decided not to spoil. I continued defeating every boss, even doing them in Expert and Master mode by using a Thorium item to do so. At some point, I had started defeating bosses which I never dreamed of ever defeated, like Betsy in master mode, Plantera in the same mode, and many more. At some point, I reached what I want to call the drop off point. The elementals. In normal mode, they’re fine, but everything else, they were death incarnate. It was the only boss in the entirety of every mod I had installed that I couldn’t defeat. A RUclipsr would say they then defeated it after many attempts, but what I’ll say, is that I didn’t. I just gave up. I did do about 7 attempts with various methods and items, but nothing worked, their attacks were too fast and too high damage, so I decided to end it off there, building some stuff as a token of appreciation towards the world and what I achieved. I’m not gonna state in-depth on how my Calamity-Revengeance difficulty world is going with 50 mods active, like Fargo, Thorium, Stars Above and more, as I’ve just defeated the Calamitas Clone and almost every boss before that as well. But basically, the ACTUALLY SUMMARISE, by setting myself to a goal for completing a hard game, or maybe a task, I can push myself to do it. I never would have done terraria if it wasn’t for him, and I silently thank him for that, and for everything. I hope this video can help me convince myself to play this masterpiece of a game, after I do everything in OMORI though, since it’s another masterpiece of a game which has its difficult areas, but helps me think of myself, and makes me enjoy my time (best ending, personally, is the bad ending, and Spaceboy FTW). The moment you realize that the Saint was an iterator’s successful experiment in finding an answer to the triple affirmative, it’s kind of a cathartic conclusion to the story. The Saint was a perfect ending to experience firsthand in the game.

My biggest bully growing up was probably my mother. She committed so many RUclips Terms of Service violations. I was so resentful when her health finally caught up to her, that I told my entire family off when they demanded that I go see her before the end. My inheritance from her was a money order for the exact amount needed for bus change. I have it framed on my wall to this day. It's been 10 years since then. For quite some time I bottled up my feelings, and they impacted my life for the worse. In my darkest period, I spent two years in a hate group starting in 2017. I was extremely fortunate that someone else in that group did something that angered me so much that I was able to wake up and see that I was being used and taken advantage of. I also wound up de-jobbed and homeless because of this involvement, which wound up putting me into contact with some really great people that helped me change my outlook on life. At the risk of coming off a little bit cliche and cringe here, I've come to realize that the real enemy in the world is negativity and hate itself. Hate begets more hate, always. People usually hurt others for a reason, and that reason is usually that they are coping with their own abuse in some form. The other thing about hate is that it inflicts damage on those that weild it. It didn't serve me to despise my abusive mother. She wound up how she was because of her own parents. I don't have to like her, but letting go and learning to not having any strong feelings is a pragmatic choice. Cause and effect. It doesn't really matter anymore. Arguably I'm bullied way more now because spreading libel about mildly autistic furries is "hilarious" in various circles. But I've come to understand that these individuals are deeply unhappy and that their assorted lashings out at me aren't really about me; they're tortured souls searching for relief in the wrong places. Sorry for the long-winded oversharing. As for your own stance. It's really not healthy, in my opinion. You need to learn to forgive yourself. You also need to see just how much it hurts you to carry that resentment. It's a poison that hurts you far more than it could ever hurt them. You should be kinder to yourself than that.

I probably shouldn't, but I likely would in the end. I just feel like it would make me, myself, feel unpleasant and really guilty to deny someone’s else's sincere apology and their hope for finding peace. Even if they dont deserve it and are worth less than the gum under my shoe! Man, I sometimes wonder why I think this way. Maybe I'm not the only person who thinks like this though.
