Yes, again the colors and patterns are awesome in this one, shame about the fractures. Although they do look like they might be healed. I'm slabbing this one for someone and hoping it is solid even with the fractures.

Definitely a nice plume/moss agate, just a bit of pitting on the bottom.

Last 2 were definitely my favorites as well.

I am currently using a 10" and a 6" (for really small stones) lapidary saw for cutting these nodules in half for these videos. I use mineral oil as a coolant for cutting (keeps surface of stone from getting heat fractures) and a hood over the saw with cut outs for your hands to hold/push the stones through the blade. Because of this there is really nothing to see and I would risk getting mineral oil on my camera/lenses which is no good. Until I get a bigger shop setup where I can position the equipment better for video recording, I will skip recording the actual cutting. Hopefully in the future this changes!

Buy a second hand tile saw and add a lapidary blade for cutting. You could polish small pieces with a Dremel and some polishing discs possibly.

I have several spots where I love to collect in that area, including this spot, near the chimney beds (which are currently under claim), 4th of July Butte and a few others. I have been collecting in this area for about 20 years or so. When it gets cooler we will have to meet up for a rock hunt!

@@GemCabochons definitely! Looking at the surroundings, however, none of it looked familiar...yet I also hound by the Chimney Beds, not far from perhaps the active claim, which put up new signs maybe a year ago.

I've been itching to get out and do some rock hunting but it has been a really hot summer here. This was a very short hunt for me, but it was great to get out there!
