The reaction of my country was so negative... They were like: No, come on you can't be serious. But I was just so happy omg!! (The Netherlands were not announced yet, so the commentators were worried but it was not necessary because they ended 2nd in the final)

Gino7lord so true i Wanted to watch eurovision om bbc yesterday but apparently i didn't had that channel anymore so i hope i can watch it on BBC on thursday
I'm glad that the Dutch commentators were wrong, because i'm expected San Marino to qualify to their first ever Grand Final that year! And yes the only reason why the Dutch commentators were so negative that year is because Jan Smit and Cornald Maas are hoping that The Netherlands won't be announced as the 10th and last qualifier again like Anouk the year before and than The Netherlands were announced as the 9th qualifier. The Netherlands will then be announced as the 10th and last qualifier two more times with Waylon in 2018 and S10 in 2022.

The funniest thing is how the Italian commentators sounded even more excited for them.
It wasn't Italian commentators. They're Sammarinese commentators from the San Marino national television (they speak Italian in San Marino as well as a local dialect)

I don't think we could win with this, mainly because not enough people like us lol :( But....I'd like to see us maybe make top 10, for I think the first time.
