He Stopped Loving Her Today
It has been said that Conway had the ability to say what a woman wanted to hear that most men could not say.He was a great man.
I don’t even listen to Country radio anymore… except for Willie’s Roadhouse on SXM radio . Today’s country is a bunch of crap
Watch the movie. She answered all the questions.

never understood why anyone thought this song was anything but a third rate song
Kern River and Kern River Blues are 2 seoerate songs recorded decades apart.
I love Johnny Horton music. Probably learned more, historically speaking, from his story songs, than i ever did in a classroom; no disrespect to my history teachers. Johnny just had a knack of singing his songs whether Johnny Reb, Battle of Bull Run, Sink the Bismarck, Battle of New Orleans, The Ballad of Jim Bridger .....and the list goes on and on, to give you goose bumpps just listening . Sad we lost him WAY to soon
I used to live in OKC not far from the "Home of Conway Twitty and the Twittybirds" Yes it was a sign in his front yard he loved his fans.

It's 2024 and 1967 is 57 years ago NOT 51 years ago.
All the Old time country western singers were the best of all time

Thank you for thst fact it matters to us out here, it matters to me, my whole family grew up on this music our whole lives, didnt matter what years his music to me was part of my growing up years , with memories of everyone who was around during 70's, 80's and since getting older , as we all do i started to reflect on things and never realized how much his music meant to me . Until i heard the new single his last hit . #kearnriverblues is what brought all these memories back , just blasting off thanks for reading.going to listen , again for the 100th time this week #takecare

Watch the movie
I think it was a baby. She pregnant from him, got rid of the baby, and he commit suicide because he couldn’t live with the guilt. That is what it has always felt like
You didn't say anything about the movie, featuring Glynnis O'Conner and Robby Benson.
Jusy Collins......Send in The Clowns....you'll love it
I think I started leasing to this song in the early 70s. As many times as I have listened to this song! I have always had an impression that it wasn't a success, but a murder.
I love the song, it's about a brotherhood of soldiers
And she didn't have to be half naked & nasty to do it!! The real thing...at a real time!
A GREAT MAN !
Johnny Horton was a despicable racist. Just listen to his song "I hate N......" he is disgusting.
Johnny Horton was a despicable racist. Just listen to his song "I hate N......" he is disgusting.
It was/is a great song!
Sound like a song of great respect for your enemy that you never wanted to fight against in the first place which I believe was the case for most on both sides. I think there needs to be a respect for your opponent in all things starting with sports and on through life. If we never have respect we can never gain understanding.
Wrong
And we better do it again.
Horton was a vile racist. His song I hate N..... is unambiguous it is pure racist bile.
Wish that babbler would shut up and just let Bobbie Gentry sing the song without interuption.
