I went to Phuket, Thailand in 1998 for a company meeting we had over there. It’s such a beautiful place. I’m 46 years old now and I’ve been thinking about moving there in a few years when I retire. I have planned it out that at 50 years old I can retire and live comfortably here in Arizona where I grew up and moved back to in my early 30’s when I was done traveling in my 20’s. I’ve lived all over the world and I’ve met some amazing people and had life changing experiences doing so. If I were to recommend anything to younger people in their late teens early 20’s it would be to travel and see the world. Go and see how other cultures live and you will quickly realize that we aren’t all that different and what the media portrays is complete bullshit. We as people pretty much want the same things in life no matter what country you are from or what your religious background is. We all want our kids to have a better life than we did no matter if you grew up rick or poor or somewhere in between. We all want to be loved and cared for. But going back to Phuket ive been doing some research about buying land there and what its like for a foreigner in Thailand and its looking good in my book. So i think thats going to be my plan and move out there permanently in a few years.

couple things here. Leon did intentionally eye poke. He was winning the fight but still felt the need to cheat. It was so blatanly obvious. and that eye poke was NASTY. He should have been suspended , that could have caused blindness. Belal has a chance if he can utilize his grappling. that's where Leon isn't his strongest. That's how Kamaru beat him. Belal has been training with Khabib so we honestly can see a new version with a strategy that can win. I personally am not a fan of Leon, he's not an active Champion, his fluke kick to Kamaru after getting his kicked for 4.75 rounds didn't impress me. The 170 division needs some fresh talent and honestly I think Islam can beat Leon and become a legit 2 division Champ. I wish Bo Nickal could make 170.

The idea of a republic is that you can't trust the "vulgar masses" to directly decide on things like they would in a democracy so they elect representatives of a higher class/caliber than them to make the decisions. Read Plato.

The electoral college has nothing to do with us being a democracy or a republic. a democracy is where everyone votes on the laws and majority rule. a republic is where you have government officials vote on laws. we have democratically elected officials this is where people think we are a democracy. the electoral college was put in place by the founding fathers as check and balance, the electoral college does not have to go with the vote of the people in their state by the federal government, but the states themselves can dictate how their electoral college votes. as in some states split their electoral college votes based on how their people voted. say for instances a state has 4 electoral college votes. when the did their popular vote, it was 75% for one and 25% for the other one would get 3 electoral college votes and the other would get 1.
