Also, during the 17th century, there were some specialized plate designs that could stop a musket ball

I like that Zach D Films is bringing more education content to young children, but I just don't think the short form format works. I've found that he leaves out lots of important details in his videos and sometimes has inaccuracies. Of course he can't be an expert in every topic he covers, he has to do all the research himself and I applaud him for that, but if you actually want to educate yourself, I'd recommend watching channels by people who are more experienced in their fields (like channels run by scientists or historians)
